Best Rock Band

Look at my avatar and take a wild guess...

(Though they considered themselves metal, and are often so considered)

Any shouts for those nice Abba people ?

Rock a Doodle Do . Cor Blimey and How's Your Father bring tears to my eyes .

Such clever Scandy Cockneys . Set up Hop Hip and Crime to Grime .

Thank you for posting this. Cool to see guys having that much fun and talent.

No probs - my pleasure!

If you liked that, I highly recommend listening to the rest of the Tanglewood concert clips - they're all on YouTube. It's essentially the greatest hits off the first several albums, the albums that I consider their very best!

And damn, that Terry Kath can play!

Lighthouse was a great horn band, in the Chicago-BST tradition - unlike say Crow - who had session horns added. Man northing is harder to play in-tune live - than horns! Nothing sounds worse than horns, if not perfect. I've been there.

BTW, that keyboardist is still with them, and still as goofily extroverted, in a more recent re-recording of 'One Fine Morning'. And as a group, they still sound damn good!

All I know is, one fine day a famous rocker walked into a pub and said "I just saw a guitarist whose going to put us all out of a job", and I can't remember if it was Clapton talking about Hendrix or who said what about who, and after hearing the pianist for "Lighthouse" I know how Clapton felt.
He's incredible.

Hey, let me share this artist with you - I bet you love her! She's got an interesting repertoire, too!

She's classically trained, and her technique is amazing. She's so smooth, so fluid. Look at the beauty she brings-out in Richard Wright's composition immediately below, including incorporating the other various elements from the rest of the band. I love the Jazz influence Pink Floyd explored, and she really brings it out!

And since you were talking 'technique' (to say nothing of 'speed'!), feast your eyes on this - below!
