I agree, however what was accepted 24 years ago isn't accepted today. I watch where I smoke and who I smoke around. If I'm walking down the street and a lady and her kid come walking by, I do my best to move my cig away from them, switch it to the other hand or something. Now, smoking here, is illegal in buildings, you got to go outside. So now what's the complaint? They have to spend 5 seconds and walk by the guy smoking outside the front door. So what did they do? Made a 15 ft. perimeter smoke free zone outside entrances. and people still whine like litte, spoiled, rotten brats. 24 yrs ago, you could still smoke at your desk in many places. So you see, the only concessions being made are by the smoker. I'm getting tired of having to deal with whimpering snotty little a-holes, because it affects their delicate sensibilities momentarily while smokers have to do back flips and cartwheels to continuously be accommodating to these twerps, it does get a bit tiresome, and unlike myself, others allow their frustrations to get the better of them at times.
Not to mention that non smokers more times than not are less than respectful when complaining to smokers. I can tell you I've personally been disrespected more times than I can count when my smoke bothered somebody, even in places and at times where smoking is permissible. So I'm not gonna sit and listen to how smokers are so disrespectful when I've seen a helluva lot more disrespect coming from the other camp.
