Arizona Residents: Are you okay will Biden/Harris allowing drug runners easy access to your border?

It's not random.

That guy has spent a LOT of time on the border documenting illegal alien and criminal events.
And he suggests the dumb wall would stop migration. All it is is a subsidy to the ladder and tunnel industry.

And a year earlier Schummer made this bill D.O.A.

Shown Here:

Introduced in House (05/02/2023)

Secure the Border Act of 2023
This bill addresses issues regarding immigration and border security, including by imposing limits to asylum eligibility.
For example, the bill
  • requires the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to resume activities to construct a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border;
  • provides statutory authorization for Operation Stonegarden, which provides grants to law enforcement agencies for certain border security operations;
  • prohibits DHS from processing the entry of non-U.S. nationals (aliens under federal law) arriving between ports of entry;
  • limits asylum eligibility to non-U.S. nationals who arrive in the United States at a port of entry;
  • authorizes the removal of a non-U.S. national to a country other than that individual's country of nationality or last lawful habitual residence, whereas currently this type of removal may only be to a country that has an agreement with the United States for such removal;
  • expands the types of crimes that may make an individual ineligible for asylum, such as a conviction for driving while intoxicated causing another person's serious bodily injury or death;
  • authorizes DHS to suspend the introduction of certain non-U.S. nationals at an international border if DHS determines that the suspension is necessary to achieve operational control of that border;
  • prohibits states from imposing licensing requirements on immigration detention facilities used to detain minors;
  • authorizes immigration officers to permit an unaccompanied alien child to withdraw their application for admission into the United States even if the child is unable to make an independent decision to withdraw the application;
  • imposes additional penalties for overstaying a visa; and
  • requires DHS to create an electronic employment eligibility confirmation system modeled after the E-Verify system and requires all employers to use the system.

And the bill should have been DOA. The wall was an absurd idea. The asylum rules fly in the face of the reality of refugee flight.

This explains why Trump is falling rapidly in the polls. He doesn't have a policy. He has National Inquirer articles.
Trump has nothing to do with what's in that video. It's all on the Biden pukes.

Nonsense.

You really should watch that video and see the big gaping spot in the wall that the Biden pukes deliberately left open. The border is certainly wide open.
The border is more “open” than it has been the past 50 years.

LOL Most drugs from Mexico come in at border crossings by American smugglers.

Who is sneaking fentanyl across the southern border? Hint: It's not the migrants

Prosecutors and defense lawyers say Haley's story is typical; the vast majority of illicit fentanyl — close to 90% — is seized at official border crossings. Immigration authorities say nearly all of that is smuggled by people who are legally authorized to cross the border, and more than half by U.S. citizens like Haley. Virtually none is seized from migrants seeking asylum.

Let’s send 200k worth of opioids through a border crossing with illegals…

If Democrats had killed this bill, I would be all over their asses.

Republicans killed it, so I'm all over their asses.
So where is your resounding denunciation of Democrats killing HR2 comprehensive immigration reform passed by the House? The Democrat Senate majority leader simply refused to let the Senate take it up. Instead, he engineered a secretive, back room deal that was so odious a handful of Senate Democrats joined with Republicans to kill it on a procedural vote. No wonder Trump says he can do better.

It was killed by Trump, who told his sycophants in congress to vote it down so "Biden wouldn't get a victory."

LOL That "secret backroom deal" was written mostly by Sen. Lankford one of the most conservative GOP senators. It was endorsed by the Border Patrol too. Trump killed it because he does not want the border fixed and he had 4 years to fix it and failed.

The figures used by Haley, DeSantis and Cotton — 8 million or 10 million — are totals of all migrant encounters at the border plus gotaways, and, in Cotton’s case, encounters at the northern border, coastal borders and airports. Cotton’s press secretary, Patrick McCann, told us that those figures showed the senator was correct to say that number “crossed into the country.” But these claims ignore that DHS statistics show 2.8 million of the encounters at the southern border alone resulted in a removal or expulsion directly from CBP custody, and all of the rest of the migrants encountered are not simply released.

Most of those removals – nearly 2.5 million — were immediate expulsions under Title 42.

Total DHS repatriations through October amounted to 3.7 million, a figure that includes the 2.8 million removals directly from CBP, as well as removals by ICE. CBP operates at the border – at ports of entry and between them — while ICE “is responsible for interior enforcement and for detention and removal operations,” DHS explains.

“The majority of all individuals encountered at the southwest border over the past three years have been removed, returned, or expelled,” a DHS official told us. The total DHS repatriations of 3.7 million would support that. The figure is 57% of the 6.5 million total encounters. The one caveat is that the total repatriations could include some migrants who were apprehended crossing the border some time ago and later were arrested and removed by ICE.

We’ll explain what happens when migrants arrive at the border and provide more information on these statistics.

That is a comment on central american socio-economic conditions, post covid.

maybe for you, but if you are concerned about usa declining birth rates, an aging out population, having a mostly adult work force showing up willing to work when we need a lot of housing construction, nursing.....

edit
I'll repeat, @ 3 Million die in the usa each year, we are below birth replacement levels.
"Most of those removals – nearly 2.5 million — were immediate expulsions under Title 42."

Title 42 was allowed to lapse by Biden/Harris meaning these removals won't happen in the future. Another executive action supporting open borders.

Socio economic conditions abroad or low birth rates aren't an excuse to flagrantly circumvent our immigration laws. Democrats love to demagogue Republicans for so-called lack of respect for the rule while blatantly undermining immigration law.

Kindly cite where Trump told anyone to vote down HR2. It was blocked by Senate majority Democrat leader Schumer without debate or consideration after it passed tje House.

I was talking about the bipartisan border bill.

The one that made Trump's followers say that immigration could wait a year.

Which means there is no crisis.

What bipartisan border bill? One Republican voted to advance the bill in the Senate. Six Democrats voted to kill it. The rejection of the backroom secret deal was bipartisan. Support for it was not.

It's not in anyway unusual for a candidate to claim they have a better way for legislation. Under Trump the border was far more secure than under Biden/Harris.

Schumer's refusal to allow the Senate to take up HR2 shows Democrats aren't serious about addressing the border crisis. There is nothing preventing Schumer from letting the Senate take up the HR2 reform bill except Democrats playing partisan political games.

Except that's not going to happen.

It's the bipartisan bill or nothing at all.

Your side has chosen "Nothing at all." You People own any mess at the border.

Oh I agree, HR2 is not going anywhere thanks to the partisan machinations of Democrat Senator Schumer.

Typical Democrat take it or leave stance for the backroom border security deal concocted in secret. But hey, continue to lie about "bipartisan bill" to create the false dilemma.

You do realize there is nothing preventing the Senate from taking up HR2 except Schumer's intransigence. Yes or no please.

There is no false dilemma. The MAGA clones own the entire border issue now.

I note the absence of a response to the fact Senator Schumer could place HR2 on the Senate docket so it could be worked on immediately.

After the bipartisan rejection of the backroom border bill Kim Jung Biden issued an executive order restricting asylum applications along with other security measures. Guess he didn't get your message.

Don't need one. This "crisis" is all on You People now.

Okay, I accept all you have to offer is blame.shifting.
Don't worry, I don't actually expect accountability from right wingers, the same as I wouldn't expect a pig to fly.
