No, you missed the context of my post.
Elections have consequences. The tantrum throwing Democrats are in no position to dictate terms of spending priorities.

You're not bothered that Trump wants to give

$40 Billion

of our tax dollars to Argentina?

Say hello to the surprise winner, Argentina, the 51st State!

That’s okay, demofks can hold the country hostage, it’s who they are! They are so pissed Trump will fund the military they are going to sue, showing their hate of Americans
What's stopping the MAGAGOP from negotiating to end the stalemate?

Demofks want to give it to illegals

It’s a CR
Yes, that much has been established. That CR needs additional votes that have to come from Democrats, which is why negotiation is required. The MAGAGOP is just trying to put the pressure through media talking points.

Are we witnessing some parental instinct to protect their uncontrollable child ?

Please send them some money. They need your money!
🤑

Sounds like what Trump always says.

You must be alluding to the H1-B visas. Last year they were $600. Trump changed it to $100000. This means virtually no small business can hire specialists from abroad. School districts can't hire technicians from overseas.

Since a majority of paychecks are computerized, most undocumented people pay social security and medicare for decades, and never get a penny back. They eventually pay gasoline tax, special district taxes, sales tax, state, property taxes all along the way.

As far as Dems wanting to spend the 40 B, I'm sure they won't spend it on furthering the great replacement theory.

$40 Billion. That would depend on what trump wants. He's king after all.

Are you not bothered that Trump is giving away $40 Billion. Who the H is going to teach them all English?!? But yes, The country only cost 40B, making it the greatest real estate deal since the Louisiana Purchase!

Are you busy October 18th? Please join me by attending a 'No Kings' event near you.

Potentially millions of your fellow Americans will join together to say that America is not an authoritarian state. It wasn't that long ago that these protests would have included lots of Republicans as well. Today? Not so much.

Sorry, I'm gonna be busy scoring hookers and blow. Don't tell anyone, though.

Be sure to post pics on Insta-face.

The demofks think they can make the republicans go nuclear.
It's amazing how much the - GOP can/should just vote to abolish the filibuster - narrative has gone viral among the left.

They know how the GOP Senate leaders have felt about that issue, yet they just keep pushing it so hard.

There is a strong reason the Dems just keep harping on that flippantly, as if it's a meaningless Senate rule which is so unimportant. The GOP has no intention of changing that rule. I wonder why the Dems are pushing that narrative so strongly and so repeatedly. It's weird since I'm not understanding what their reasoning is for playing that game all day every day. Maybe someone can help me out and fill me in as to why that narrative has taken hold, among Dems, so strongly and repetitively. What's the purpose of that game/tactic they have going on?

Nah, I was begging Uncle Joe to abolish the filibuster when he and the Senate Dems at least had the majority, even if they didn't really have the Senate math (thanks Joe Munchkin and Senator Instagram Sinema).

The filibuster is broken. Not ever sure it was fixed in the first place.

I'm fascinated that some here think this is an event for the Democrats. I guess if one just takes in MAGAGOP talking points this makes sense, but this is not organized by the political party and any politicians joining are doing so of their own accord. This protest is about one specific issue, but it's clear this administration is hoping its base are dumb enough to buy the generalizations they're making about Democrats and The Left as we saw Leavitt make.
This comment is truly bizarre.

Do you think the GOP organized this event on Saturday?

That’s okay, demofks can hold the country hostage, it’s who they are! They are so pissed Trump will fund the military they are going to sue, showing their hate of Americans

Okay, let's get this straight. We can't afford to fund Medicare and ACA because we have to fund the military. But we can kick $20 Billion, now jumping to $40 Billion to Argentina because. Um. We need to? I swear you guys are nuttier than squirrel shit.

"What is “reconciliation”?
Reconciliation is a tool – a special process – that makes legislation easier to pass in the Senate.

How is it different from a regular bill?
Instead of needing 60 votes, a reconciliation bill only needs a simple majority in the Senate.

Reconciliation starts with the congressional budget resolution. The budget cannot be stalled in the Senate by filibuster, and it does not need the President’s signature.

If the budget calls for reconciliation, it tells certain committees to change spending, revenues, deficits, or the debt limit by specific amounts. Each committee writes a bill to achieve its target, and if more than one committee is told to act, the Budget Committee puts the bills together into one big bill."

Why can't the maga do this?

But the Senate GOP leaders have long seen it as very important, and the Dems know that. This isn't about how you or the Dems view it. The GOP won't do it, and the Dems know that - so why the narrative and the game? What's behind that coordinated Dem tactic? There is clearly some underlying reason why they just keep harping and harping and harping about it, when they know darn well the GOP will not change that long standing Senate procedure.

Then the MAGAGOP can continue refusing to negotiate and the Democrats continue to hold out. This could have been negotiated well before this time, but since the MAGAGOP told them to pound sand back then, here we are now. What I don't here from those in favor of this CR is why they think it's a good idea to let the subsidies end.

I have lived a long time and now I see , in the flesh, what the founding fathers feared the most- a deranged power hungry autocrat in power who has neutered Congress, installed allies in the Supreme Court and attempts to control and silence all sources of protest and criticism. It will take sustained efforts from those of us who have not grown blind and numb to the multitude of perversions of our freedoms.

It will take open eyed courage. As David Brooks (an actual conservative) wrote:

"In 1983, Marcos’s key opponent, Benigno Aquino, was assassinated. Marcos banned TV coverage of Aquino’s funeral. But 2 million mourners showed up for what turned into an 11-hour rally against the regime. The middle and professional classes then joined the protesters. The Manila business community held weekly demonstrations. The following year, there was a general workers’ strike. After Marcos stole the next election, members of the armed forces began to mutiny. Millions of ordinary citizens marched to defend them. The Reagan administration threatened to cut off aid to the regime. By early 1986, Marcos and his family had no choice: They fled the country. It had taken more than a decade, but the people had defeated the autocrat."

Nope, and I'm not sure why you would say that.
Because of this extremely odd comment below. Who is it you think organized the event?
