The gop loves to harp about deporting "undocumented" "illegal aliens"
However, they completely ignore the fact that their ancestors, the Pilgrims and other white settlers, were also undocumented immigrants who had no visas or legal rights to settle in the New World
In fact, while modern undocumented aliens are often very hard workers and upstanding, law abiding citizens, the early white settlers did nothing but steal land which rightfully belonged to the Natives by force, and committed one of the worst genocides in history in the process.
I find the right wing view of "securing our borders" as pure and unbridled hypocrisy.
Your talking about a totally different time where conquest was the norm where every nation was doing it, if you couldn't defend your lands they were taken from you, and don't think just because you live in the twenty first century it cannot happen again, it can and will, survival of the fittest will always win its human nature.

There were no laws against immigration when our ancestors got here. It was not illegal for them to come. Today there are. Anyone with half a clue could figure that out.
Socialism rots your brain, apparently.
What do you mean? Millions of immigrants?
People like to paint the Natives as these peaceful people growing corn. They were like any other human civilization. They killed each other, invaded, took land, etc. There wasn't a formal "country" for pilgrims and others to come to, and the English and later American forces overpowered the Natives and claimed the land the old fashioned way. Ethically speaking that was the standard back then. You can't compare illegal immigration where there is a solid foundational government with laws and police power to enforce those laws to native tribes at war with each other and being invaded by a stronger, foreign power.
no millions of Chinese, since he is referring to killing.
If you're immigrating into someone else's homeland and they try to keep you out, try to drive you out, does that count as a law against immigration?
Conservatism calcifies your brain, apparently.
Ah.
How many did Ted Bundy kill? Has about as much to do with the topic.
Nobody tied to keep my ancestors out or drive them out. In fact the exact opposite occurred. They were lured here by the promise of good jobs and the chance to be free. They unfortunately ended up as slave labor working in the coal mines.
Most of the immigrants to this country were lured here by the rich and powerful to work for substandard wages in order to make the rich richer. Nothing much has changed. Except they are now being brought here to force wages down and to continue to provide cheap labor for the rich and powerful. This is clearly evident in the loss of the middle class and the increase in the number of poor people who are dependent on government to survive. Instead of the coal barons providing housing and food stamps to maintain their cheap labor supply it is our government doing it for them.

you missed the point, how can someone make a case of genocide, but then post as his avatar a man who killed millions.
so you missed it.
Avatar? You're arguing with his avatar?
No, listen. Just read the words. Discuss what's said.
Yeesh. Avatar?
There was no immigration process into the new world. There was no official country, just a bunch of warring tribes. Most of the deaths of native Americans was due to diseases that the settlers carried and were immune to. Going to another part of the world, conquering it and resettling it was the norm, which is something the native American regularly practiced. Seeing you have one of the worst mass murderers in history as your avatar, I don't think you have any business complaining about genocide. You might as well have ted Bundy or Adolph Hitler as your avatar seeing you seem to admire mass murdering pieces of ****.The gop loves to harp about deporting "undocumented" "illegal aliens"
