Are progressives consistent regarding civilian firearm ownership?

The same sentiment was not given to Trump supporters, why? You easily distance yourself from the bad with your candidate yet Trump supporters bore all the blame by you and yours lol.

While you may be a multi issue voter you still bear responsibility for the bad of your candidate. Just as Trump supporters bore the bad with him. After all it WAS your vote that put them in power not mine. So let's take a tiny peek at what you and yours have caused....

Massive inflation
Reduced energy independence
A massive border crisis
Afghanistan debacle
Ukraine at War with Russian
China talking crap
Covid killing more than under Trump
And still not closed down
Ridiculous and unnecessary mask and lockdowns extended for a year.
Life saving regeneron and other treatments banned for political reasons.
And one hell of a feeling of weakness and incompetence.

Your side said the US would collapse and we would be in world war three with Trump. The economy was great despite covid and the world was quiet.

Now under Brandon the economy is on the edge of collapse, inflation out of control, store shelves empty, and the world is in chaos. Thousands dead. World War 3 is one mistake away. Litterally!!!!!!

Now after 2 years of horrifically vilifying anyone unwilling to get vaxxed even calling them killers and the enemy ole Brandon wants to bury the hatchet. Now that it's becoming clear that covid lockdowns were unnecessary and masks useless and also unnecessary he wants to bring us together. Thousands dead or negatively effected by that political move to gain power. Thousands of businesses and livelihoods gone. All because your candidate needed the issue to gain power and push BBB the green new deal peeps key desire. That all on you!

In November 2020 there were 43k border encounters. By January 2021there were 78k. There were over 200,000 a month at one point. Today it's about 150k. Illegals are being loaded on busses and planes and spread across this country.

Let me tell you a story about the dog and the flea.

A flea jumps on a dog and begins to drink its blood. The dog feels the pinch of the bite but is not negatively effected and both live fat and happy. As the flea reproduces the thousands of fleas all drinking the dogs blood begin to weaken the dog. The fleas live well but the dog is weakening. The fleas multiply yet again only the demand for blood is so high that the dog dies. The fleas having no dog to suck blood off of soon die aswell.

The dog being good hard working tax paying people and the flea being the welfare blood suckers who live off others. Those that get everything for free.

I won't work for you! So if it happens I will retire and watch you starve lol.

I read "during the primaries" and stopped. Campaigning is not the same as leading. :rolleyes: Has little to do with if he's actually governing that way. He's not.

They are against civilians in the US owning guns, but they wholeheartedly support rifles being handed out like candy in the Ukraine.

One response from progressives might be that this is war, and it's not intellectually inconsistent to want civilians armed during war but disarmed during peacetime. This response doesn't work for at least two reasons:

1. You can't just throw guns at people and expect them to be instantly proficient using them. It takes a lot of time and practice to become competent with firearms. Gun safety alone requires a degree of mental discipline that only comes from repetition and practice.

2. The Russia/Ukraine situation is one state invading another, but history is replete with examples where states murder the very people they rule over. If you agree that civilians should have guns to fight against a hostile state, then it's silly to say they shouldn't have guns if the hostile state trying to kill them is their own government.
