Are Overdue Reports Concealing ObamaCare Impact On Medicare? - IBD - Investors.com
Quote(Every year, the Annual Report of the Social Security Board of Trustees comes out between mid-April and mid-May. Now it's July, and there's no sign of this year's report. What is the Obama administration hiding?)
Indeed what are they hiding. Evidently they do not have some catastrophic news story coming out that would by it's shocking nature, hide the issuance of this report.
perhaps rahm could invent something?
With regret yes there has already been some effects.
My Dr. has in his office a notice informing his Medicare patients that as from May 1st medicare payments to him for treating medicare patients will drop by 21%. He states that his costs are continuing to rise and should medicare (aka The Government) place more restrictions on him and his practice, he will either have to defer from taking on more medicare patients/ Turn some of his Medicare patients loose to find medical care elsewhere/Start charging an annual fee to make up for the shortfall.
Now i do realize I am only talking about my Dr. because that is the only one that I have actual proof.
However on talking with several email friends across the US, they too say they are seeing similar notices with the offices of their Drs. practices.

Don't know what the reason is here. If it's political we're going to have a huge oh **** moment at it's release, but it could be that the new rules are throwing the accounting process off, it could be that the people in charge of the program found a major accounting error and are compiling the numbers again. Who knows? I certainly don't have enough info to speculate but will say that if the reason is political get ready for some pain.
I'm worried about that of course. Simply saying I really can't speculate at this time. While I'd love to believe that, generally when government has a bad report, it sits on it. When it has a glowing report, it pushes it out as fast as it can. And when it has a really bad report, such as Foster's projected cost of the Republican Drug bill, the government blackmails, lies and threatens to delay it as long as possible. Social Security is screwed and they're delaying the report as long as they can.
