Government entitles in the USA have summarily seized total control of all residential rental property in the USA, for which those governmental entities have awarded occupancy to people for free.
Not only are the property owners not being compensated for the seizure of their property, the government has gone on to continue to require the property owners provide free maintenance at the owners expensive, while receiving no rent whatsoever.
[h=2]Amendment V[/h]No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.
NO owner of residential rental property has received any compensation for the government seizure of their property for an indefinitely period of time. Nor does the government in any way provide any guarantee that the property owners will ever receive back rent and there is nothing they can do if not. Few tenants are going to pay half a year or more in rent when they can just move somewhere else.
This seems a clear violation of the Bill Of Rights and the government taking control of people's property without compensation is even one reason given for declaring independence to the degree of going to war against the government over this.
It takes court action and nobody is willing to do that.
I have been puzzled as to why. NOTHING like this level of nationalizing private property has even happened before in USA history.

Under the cover of the 24/7 covid 19 bio-terrorism campaign of the richest and most powerful people on earth essentially the entire Bill Of Rights has been erased and replaced with plutocracy - which is what the Democratic Party now demands and pursues.

We own a rental house. Tenant has not paid a penny of rent since April.
Trump just dictated a Moratorium on Evictions until January 1st, 2021.
That means we cannot begin the eviction process until then. The eviction process can take months.
That means we will probably lose close to $20,000 in lost rent by the time we eventually get them out.
We will not be reimbursed for that loss. There will be mayhem when 37 million Americans are forced out of their rental homes.
I sure hope Trump is thinking how he's going to find housing for all of them. (or Biden depending on who gets elected)

Well, here’s the funny about property ownership in this country. 70% of mortgages are backed by the Federal government. And even if/when you pay off that mortgage you’re still just leasing from the government in the form of property taxes. Nobody actually owns property outright in this country except the government.

......As Josh notes, the possible measures listed in the regulation—"inspection, fumigation, disinfection, sanitation, pest extermination, and destruction of animals or articles believed to be sources of infection" are all relatively narrowly targeted policies focused on specific sources of infection, not wide-ranging nationwide regulations that apply regardless of how much danger there is in the particular location. Esjudem generis, a standard canon of legal interpretation, requires that anything in a list of items in a law should be interpreted as being "of the same kind" as other items on the same list. Here, everything on the list seems to be relatively limited in scope. Thus, the regulation only permits narrowly targeted, localized restrictions.
