Government entitles in the USA have summarily seized total control of all residential rental property in the USA, for which those governmental entities have awarded occupancy to people for free.
Not only are the property owners not being compensated for the seizure of their property, the government has gone on to continue to require the property owners provide free maintenance at the owners expensive, while receiving no rent whatsoever.
[h=2]Amendment V[/h]No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.
NO owner of residential rental property has received any compensation for the government seizure of their property for an indefinitely period of time. Nor does the government in any way provide any guarantee that the property owners will ever receive back rent and there is nothing they can do if not. Few tenants are going to pay half a year or more in rent when they can just move somewhere else.
This seems a clear violation of the Bill Of Rights and the government taking control of people's property without compensation is even one reason given for declaring independence to the degree of going to war against the government over this.
