It ain't gonna happen my friend............You are relatively new here.....You will find like the rest of us that when you make a debating point with him he will resort to name calling and insults as he is doing to you now..........That is pretty much why I ignore the majority of his posts........
Debating point? You wouldn't know a debating point if it bit you in the a$s! Like just yesterday when you wrote that 90% of all taxes are paid by 1% of the population. You didn't provide any proof (you NEVER do) and I bitch slapped your post into submission when I showed you that in reality the top 1% pay 20% of taxes collected. Your response? As always...cut and run...only to resurface here with a personal attack that has zero debating points and zero accuracy.

What defines the very worst debater in this community? One that NEVER debates, that never source anything they spit out, and when called out for their bullshit they cut and run and are never man enough to address the subject again.

Being a nightmare debater is not a crime, but it is not a badge of intelligence either.

C'mon Navy....for once in your ridiculous debating career stop the YADA YADA say nothing posts and defend your inaccurate statement that the top 1% of American taxpayers pay 90% of collected taxes? Are you going to own up to the truth or just cut and run again or write a post about how I don't debate?

Maybe it's time to start a thread in The Basement about who this community thinks are the very worst debaters, and why. Should be quite interesting, don't you think?

C'mon Navy....rebut my proof that only 20% of taxes collected come from the "rich" and that the number is as you wrote 90%....

Ever read "Waiting for Godot" by Samuel Beckett? Do you even know who Samuel Beckett was?

I'm serving you Navy Pride...defend your post or admit you're incredibly wrong!

You've been served....Remember if you don't reply with proof that what you wrote is true you will have been exposed, again.

Yep - that's what I thought. You're like a 78 Mustang -- all show and no go.

Let me know when you can man-up and defend something you say.
Look if you have reading comprehension issues don't expect anyone in this community to dumb down their posts so you can understand them. If you think I didn't answer your questions that is your issue.

I have noted, again, that you've contributed zero to this thread's debate other than to troll...200 posts...no debating...200 posts...lots of trolling....I don;t like trolling...I like debating...too bad you're not able to participate.

So how come you're here then? If you don't want to debate what about this community makes you post? You like to stir the pot? What is it that gets you arroused?

No.
Its the fact that you didnt answer the question or support your claim.

You're trying to use payroll taxes as support for an argument regarding income taxes. Thats no different than using yards rushing to determine who had the most home runs.

Apparently, you either can't see that or you simply refuse to.

In any case, you havent posted --anything-- that supports your position, and at this point I'm sure that you won't. You keep trolling on an on about others not debating you -- its because you refuse to give anything for anyone to debate against.

Now, either you can post something that shows that the income tax system "favors" the "rich" at the "expense" of the "middle class" and "poor", or you can't -- and my moneyis on the "can't".

Either prove your point or admit you are incredibly wrong.

Of course he knows payroll taxes and income taxes are 2 different taxes...........Its just his smoke and mirrors.....

I had better take my friends packridge advice to take a walk now otherwise I am going to get in trouble...............

I know it's not my argument and NP can take care of himself, but coming from you, Champs, this sounds very funny. It is widely known that you never debate and always troll. That's why no one pays you any attention. The irony is too much.

My, my… you are certainly a surly person Champs!! I’m sure NP can defend himself just fine, but I have to point out that you seriously misquoted him.

Champs:

NP:
Liberals always whine that the rich get all the tax cuts....What they conveniently forget to mention is the rich pay 90 percent of the taxes in this country..........
There is a HUGE difference in the two statements. I guess it boils down to the definition of “rich” but I hardly think it is restricted to the top 1% as you claim.

Actually, the richest 20% of Americans pay about 82% of the taxes. A full 2 million low income families were taken completely off the tax roles after the Bush tax cut. The above information is from the Congressional Budget Office.

Champs:
that due to greater investment of tax dollars by NY State citizens in education that our overall education system is improving every year...versus what goes on in Red states like Mississippi where the average student ranks near the bottom of students anywhere in the First World, or in Kansas where the local government ability to educate its citizens is such a failure that 2 out of 3 people do not believe in Evolution and think that God is Science!
I have no doubt that NY state spends a lot of tax dollars on schools since it is a socialist state that panders to unions, especially the NEA. The proof is in the pudding though. New York may spend more than a lot of other states, but its graduation rates are near the bottom, 39 to be exact. One of the states you disparage, Kansas, is way up above New York at 14. To be exact, New York graduates just 62.1% of its ninth graders compared to the national average of 68.3%. Not very good. The other state you attacked, Mississippi, is just three percentage points behind New York.

Just looking at the top ten states graduation rates, there are six red states and four blue states. Guess that blows your opinions away doesn’t it??

Good advice NP. I can't stand seeing someone deliberately misquoting other posters and making up so called facts out of thin air.

You're right.

Taxes never favor the rich, it is only how much they favor the poor..

The poor pay little or no income taxes....That is one of the main reasons they get no tax cuts.......If you have pay in to get back........

We pay too much in taxes as it is now, I appreciate what little I get back no matter if the sitting president happens to have a (R) or (D) after his name.

In this day and age you will never get a tax cut under a democratic president......I would venture to say that if they take back the congress the first thing they will do is repeal the Bush Tax cuts.......

One fine example is Social Security Tax. The percentage to total income that a wage earner who has income over, say $250K pays in SSI vs. someone who has an income of $50K is as follows:

Someone making $50K pays 6.2% of his income to SSI. Capiche?

Someone making $250K pays 3.8% of his income to SSI.

SSI taxable income for 2006 is collected on the first $94,200 earned. If this law were changed and SSI was collected on all earnings then it would be equitable BUT as it is now set up those who need their income the most have a far greater burden than those who do not.

You know how much a person earning $1,000,000 pays as a percentage to his income? 0.09%! Less than 1% of their income.

This is just one example for you. Now it's your turn to actually debate. You always avoid or shun the topic by twisting the question away from you having to answer. Well now it's time for you to do something new for you on DEBATE POLITICS, actually rebut my points with FACTS that include links to a reliable source that is creditable and not opinion based.

My source for the numbers used was:

http://www.ssa.gov/pubs/10003.html

If you are unable to address the specific point that I just brought up than everyone will know that you have nothing to contribute to this thread other than prejudicial non-fact based opinions that have no basis in truth.

Here's the ball...try running with it...or will you fumble?

You do understand that the 250k still pays 3x more in SSI than the 50k right? That shows that still favors the poor...

The tax favors the poor, it always favor the poor, president Bush is only relieving pressure from the rich, the rich who pay 20x more total tax than the average american as shown in the source you provided..

Bushes tax cuts don't favor the rich, they only favor the poor less.

The 250k guy will recieve the same benefits if not less than the 50 k guy...

If the rich are so favored why don't we deport them and their money so they can't take advantage of the poor? Oh wait..........
