New York may spend more than a lot of other states, but its graduation rates are near the bottom, 39 to be exact. One of the states you disparage, Kansas, is way up above New York at 14. To be exact, New York graduates just 62.1% of its ninth graders compared to the national average of 68.3%. Not very good. The other state you attacked, Mississippi, is just three percentage points behind New York.

Just looking at the top ten states graduation rates, there are six red states and four blue states. Guess that blows your opinions away doesn’t it??

In this day and age you will never get a tax cut under a democratic president......I would venture to say that if they take back the congress the first thing they will do is repeal the Bush Tax cuts.......

One fine example is Social Security Tax. The percentage to total income that a wage earner who has income over, say $250K pays in SSI vs. someone who has an income of $50K is as follows:

Someone making $50K pays 6.2% of his income to SSI. Capiche?

Someone making $250K pays 3.8% of his income to SSI.

SSI taxable income for 2006 is collected on the first $94,200 earned. If this law were changed and SSI was collected on all earnings then it would be equitable BUT as it is now set up those who need their income the most have a far greater burden than those who do not.

You know how much a person earning $1,000,000 pays as a percentage to his income? 0.09%! Less than 1% of their income.

This is just one example for you. Now it's your turn to actually debate. You always avoid or shun the topic by twisting the question away from you having to answer. You do understand that the 250k still pays 3x more in SSI than the 50k right? That shows that still favors the poor...

The tax favors the poor, it always favor the poor, president Bush is only relieving pressure from the rich, the rich who pay 20x more total tax than the average american as shown in the source you provided..

Bushes tax cuts don't favor the rich, they only favor the poor less.

The 250k guy will recieve the same benefits if not less than the 50 k guy...

If the rich are so favored why don't we deport them and their money so they can't take advantage of the poor? Oh wait..........
