April 26th Primary Live Results Thread

So pitiful. There's no one I really want to vote for or see win. It's a matter of which one is the least bad. We really need to get the money out of all this. More people would run, if it weren't all about begging for huge sums of money constantly.
I'm telling you, there's a potential dream field out there, if Trump & Bernie get teed-off enough and run indie - think of it:

Socialist Indie
Establishment Dem
Establishment GOP
Capitalist Indie

There'd be something for everyone, and true choice!

I can dream, can't I?

Those unbound delegates from PA will have a hard time not voting Trump. The people will skin them alive upon return from the convention if they don't. Trump may take PA in the high 60s.

Trump won all the states.

Most of the unbound delegates are committee members not elected officials and don't really have to worry about that. I know for a fact two of the delegates I elected plan on voting for Kasich or Cruz no matter what.

LMAO, REMEMBER SEVERAL MONTHS AGO WHEN REPUBLICANS CONTINUED TO DENY THAT TRUMP WAS POPULAR IN THEIR PARTY? JESUS CHRIST, TRUMP IS WINNING IT ALL! :lamo

Delaware makes two for Clinton and I've heard FOX has called PA for Clinton.

Well, it's looking like this election cycle is offering a pretty distinct, clear choice.

Clinton vs Trump.

The established kind of horrible, vs some entirely new kind of horrible.

MSNBC interviews claim a little over half the free VA delegates claim the will vote for the will of the people, particularly if it involves a majority. Also, there was a significant number of free delegates that claim they're predisposed to vote for Trump. So if Trump pulls 60%, I believe he will get the vast majority of free delegates. Maybe like 90% of them.

They used to tar and feather that sort in PA.

A little more. This sort of delegate may lose everything if the candidate they vote against gets the nomination and then goes on to win the presidency.

Big cheers Chomsky. :applaud
Thank you.

But it's far better to use initial care & consideration, than to recant. :doh

"Discretion is the better part of valor"!

Voting against the will of the people, even in party politics, doesn't end well for the one doing so.

I'm pretty confident they feel fine about it. It's an internal party selection process and they are specifically afforded the right to choose whomever they want. Furthermore they don't hold elected office, other than as delegates, and cant be 'held to account'.

Yep, he doesn't pass the authenticity test, at all.

I see him as a 'tent-show preacher' or 'snake-oil salesman'.

Cruz lost the entire North East (except Main) with that NY values comment, what a dumb ass thing for a politician to say. Statements like that may go down well in a church revival tent in Texas, but not in New England.

Wow!

With 4 of the 5 states reporting, all have Trump at 60%+!

Not the only reason he lost, but yeah it did add another nail in the coffin. It assisted in the overwhelming Trump wins that allowed Trump to get delegates in excess of a closer win.

Looking like Trump is going to take all these states in the high 50s.

Greetings clownboy. :2wave:

I remember Herman Caine - remember him? - stating back in early March that "the GOP hierarchy had just better get over with it with Trump unless they want a Hillary Presidency!" Was he presicent?

Whatever. It's a dick move on their part. I like to think that'll come back to bite them in the rear sometime soon.

I can't speak to that. Certainly his votes in favor of the Minutemen and indefinite detention of illegal immigrants (not to mention his embrace of the narrative that they're here to steal your job), his devotion to a view of trade that undeniably hurts the global poor, and his declaration that one of the most impressive and accomplished female politicians in America is "unqualified" to be president are disturbing.

More propaganda. Wow.

I'm pretty glad we have a process the melds the popular vote and internal party control.

I think it's dopey in this day and age. But if it's how the people of your state decide to do it, more power to ya. I do believe a few states will be looking at their party rules going forward.
