How many threads have you started involving black people getting harassed, killed, or otherwise assaulted by the actual police? Just wondering.

It is a law in NY to wear a mask. Seems to me the asshole is the law breaker unless you are biased for some reason.

It’s funny how those who claim cops are racist killers still want them to enforce mask mandates.

Keep in mind I have not viewed the videos you posted.

But that is correct. There are a small minority of people (including very young children) who should not or ought not be expected to wear a mask. While it is meaningfully higher than 1%, it is still a minority of people.

We have had to do some education around this with local school districts and adult service providers and transitional housing providers. There are people with sensory issues with their disabilities or people who will not realistically be able to maintain mask wearing while experiencing a crisis episode (for instance, think about children with autism or children with serious emotional disorders who enter a crisis phase).

Nonetheless, the vast majority of people do not have those same considerations and can greatly reduce the spread and contraction of COVID-19 by wearing them.

Now, I'll say this more specifically to address something that may have been said at some point during this thread or not. I am very uncomfortable with the way New York is entering into borderline antisemitic territory when discussing mask wearing.

No doubt, America is her own worst enemy, nobody short of using nuclear, biological, or cyber attacks can defeat us. Even China is too reliant on our purchasing goods. It seems like greed and extremist ideology are going to be our downfall.

It definitely doesn’t help that we have people from within that see no good in this country and actively support “transforming” it into goodness knows what.

You acknowledged that bullying those who go maskless was okay with you in a post you authored to me last night.
 
Almost nobody here wears a mask when out in the open. No masks in restaurants, except wait staff. Most stores require masks. Many people wear their mask just over their mouth, with their nose exposed to breathe. While the number of new cases has jumped up, deaths are near zero. Almost all the deaths since the beginning have been old people. Now almost no deaths from Covid in any age group. Very few even in intensive care anymore. So more new cases but not nearly as deadly.....what gives?

Most of them want radical change but don't give reasonable ways to achieve it. I'm so sick of masks and racist talk because they're blown out of proportion with respect to real problems.

What I find particularly odd about this (and feel free to correct me if I’m wrong) but wasn’t one of the chief objections Democrats had for holding this hearing was over the Covid risk?

It is even more funny that some people can't comprehend that there are racist cops who have killed people but that doesn't mean that all cops are racist killers. One doesn't have to turn a blind eye to police corruption in order to stand behind and support the honorable law abiding police officers.

Yeah, I'm sure that was their real reason. Democrats being the altruistic pillars of the community.
