I have an account. I tweeted to my cell phone provider's support account once. I also liked a couple of memes. I don't participate in any kind of conversation. This old forum format beats the shit out of twitter. Conversations are awful there. It reminds me of the old nested comments style forums, and Reddit, but with severe limits and too much random noise.

I read Twitter but I don't make very many posts and most of my posts are about Leon Russell, so you'd probably find me pretty boring. I never Tweet to Trump because there's no question that every tweet sent to that account winds up in one of his databases for future use.

Exactly.
Facebook and Twitter are "bulletin boards" and having a detailed and lengthy threaded convo about complex issues is damn near impossible with such an interface. Also, Twitter conditions people with an already short attention span to have an even shorter one, and tl;dr is a sign that a person can't pay attention.

"Hey! My cat was born with eleven toes!" is a Tweet.
Anything more complex than that belongs on a debate forum.
