Pence would be much more effective carrying out the Republican agenda of denying healthcare to fellow Americans and eliminating or reducing social services to those most in need, while passing tax legislation to benefit those with the most. As each person defiles the office he holds, the only kind of person who'll replace him is the kind of person who would want that office and is willing to work for the kind of person everyone now knows Trump to be.

So we have Trump attacking Sessions and Scaramucci attacking Bannon and Priebus, how is this good governance?

It isn't.

Trump has apparently run his business like this for a long time, and in many respects the results don't work. If he is actually managing a business, it usually fails, even when said business usually prints money (e.g. casinos). It works better when they can walk in, make a bunch of recommendations, slap a brand on it and walk away (e.g. branding and design services for buildings, golf courses etc).

If Trump and his own administration don't get along with each other, how can they effective deal with proposed changes to the tax code, trade, foreign affairs crisises, health care changes, etc.

I think we saw the answer to that during this week: It can't.

To me, it's a self-fulfilling idea of government. If you don't think government can be effective or requires expertise, then you're going to staff it with family and familiars who are incapable of doing their job, and turn the offices into Thunderdome. I'm sure Trump is amused by the spectacle, but it doesn't actually result in good governance.

No doubt that President Pence would love to push for the closest thing to a theocracy. He recently attended some conference in which he ranted about Christianity being under significant attack. Yet no Christian in America is prevented from maintaining a relationship with the supernatural being of their understanding anyplace or at any time. They continue to build churches all across America. I believe that the Bible quotes Jesus as saying that the body is the Temple. But that isn't good enough for "some Christians". They want the open public display of them practicing their religious beliefs - at anytime and place. But these same Christians sure as hell don't want other religions having the same privileges.

Additionally, Pence will crank up a substantial crusade against abortion while simultaneously attempting to reduce social services that so many low income children, who can't fend for themselves or possess a political voice, depend on just to sustain.

One thing is obvious. The self-will-run-riot folks in the Kingdom of Washington is in more chaos than ever with the people's business taking a back seat to their need to the destructively avoid or undermine the duties that they owe to the taxpayers.
