NEWSCORE - A mob of angry protesters chased a would-be flag burner at Louisiana State University (LSU) off campus Wednesday to chants of "USA, USA."
Graduate communications student Benjamin Haas had earlier been given permission by the school to burn the flag. But because he lacked a local burn permit, he agreed instead to read a statement in an area of the university known as free speech alley.
Fox News reports that Haas' actions were in response to the arrest of another student, who was charged with taking and burning the American flag once posted at LSU's War Memorial. That incident came just hours after Osama bin Laden's killing by US Navy SEALS last week.
Mob Chases Flag Burner From LSU Campus
Go LSU!
lol u need a burn permit hahaha.
Oh yea, we don't **** around down here. That flag burning **** won't fly in Louisiana. Multiple military bases in our state, combined with a strong sense of national pride (even with bozo-n-chief in office) will ensure that any flag burning attempts that are made public will be met with fierce resistance.
So let's get this straight, some pathetic low life steals a war memorial flag, burns it, get's arrested, and this moron decides to stand in solidarity with him? Glad to see his fellow students come out and let him know what they thought of his... beliefs.
Tossing bottles was uncalled for, but standing up and being heard was aces. Go LSU!

I would think that the original a-hole was probably arrested for stealing and burning w/o a permit, not for the act of burning the flag. What was this guy's true motivation?
If this individual was trying to burn a Koran here is what would happen-
1.They would be wanting him arrested for hate speech
2.They would be calling him a racist, hate monger and or bigot.
3.They would say how dare he put the lives of Americans over seas in jeopardy,as though they were somehow equally pissed when someone release Abughurab photos or printed a bogus Koran flushing story.
4.Maybe some Euro-trash saying how they are glad that their country has hate speech laws.
5.SOme terrorist salad tosser would be suggesting that he should be face justice in the middle east
6.Politicians would be condemning him.
7.The news media would be on this story like a fat bitch on a twinkie.
Yes. I'm all for flag-burning if people really want to do that, but at least buy your own flag.
I'm not saying I like the idea of burning the flag, but based on the permissions granted to douche bag #2, I would have to assume that douche bag #1s arrest was tied to other actions than just the fact that he was burning the flag.
Who cares if he was burning the flag? I don't understand how it can bother people so much to have an opposing view express their beliefs.
The kid has the right to burn a flag (or give an anti-American speech or whatever the case may be). Other kids have the right to chase him around shouting "USA USA!" All's fair.

Burning a flag (to many) goes a little beyond freedom of speech.
What do you suppose his 'opposing view' was?
No it doesn't.
I would assume that he doesn't hold the flag in as high regard as those who were throwing trash at him and telling him to go to hell.
Dood...what an AWESOME rebuttal. Let me guess...school is out. Fanfreqintastic. We get a fresh crop of...you.
To many it does.
