Ammon Bundy & Water Wars too

That was also the case with Mao during his Great Leap Forward that killed 45+ million between 1958 to 1962. Leftist always target anyone who opposes them, which are always the intellectuals and the educated. Stalin, Hitler, and Mussolini did precisely the same thing, just like the Democratic Party does today. Everyone who opposes the leftist agenda is the enemy.
Except that Biden would be imprisoning priests instead of attending their Mass.

Of course it describes the left. Only leftists can be totalitarians. As Hitler, Stalin, Mao, and Pol Pot have already demonstrated. Rightists are for limited government with specified powers. Right-wingers are most certainly not communist totalitarians, like you have been taught in your leftist indoctrination centers (a.k.a. public schools).

Right-wingers do not seek power. The right seeks to limit government power. Only the left are power mad, as the 100+ million dead at the hands of leftists during the last century can attest.
So you are saying that the R party is not right? That they don't seek power (1.6.21), that they seek to limit government power (current spate of state voting changes to limit voting)? Come on man.

I bet you never knew
rural folks as neighbors

They certainly expanded my understanding
My neighbors have zero impact on whether something is true or false.

Except that Biden would be imprisoning priests instead of attending their Mass.
Only if those priests disagreed with Biden. You would be amazed at how quickly people will change their minds when their lives are being threatened.

No, the Republican Party is not right-wing, and has never been. Yes, there have been various members over the years who have been right-wing conservatives, but like today their numbers are a distinct minority within the Republican Party.

How many Republicans today were actually registered Democrats yesterday? That seems to be the trend lately. There are literally thousands of leftist Democrats pretending to be Republicans. A dishonest phenomena that only occurs with the left. You never see any right-winger becoming a Democrat, with good reason. Even Trump was a registered NYC leftist Democrat and a massive Hillary supporter prior to 2012.

Once again, your beliefs don't match up with the evidence.

What has party affiliation have to do with anything?

What part of thousands of former Democrats have become Republicans were you not able to comprehend? Just because someone identifies as being a Republican does not make them right-wing or conservative. There are communists who are members of the Republican Party.

Party affiliation has no meaning.

Ammon Bundy (son of Cliven) is running for governor of Idaho
And involved again
(sort of) in the War Against The Federals
Meanwhile Irrigators say they plan to force open Klamath headgates and release water
Farmers Grant Knoll and Dan Nielsen bought property next to the headgates in April for $30,000 and have set up camp on the site. They are staffing a large canvas tent with volunteers from the local branch of People’s Rights, a national organization formed in 2020 by militant activist Ammon Bundy, and they’re trying to rally support.

Ammon Bundy, leader of the 2016 Malheur occupation, has stated publicly he’s willing to come to Klamath Falls to join those involved in the effort, if asked to do so
.
The Yurok Indian tribes of the Klamath Basin have water rights treaties with the United States extending back before the Relcamation Act and the promises of water to farmers of the area. The water does not belong to farmers. It belongs to the Yurok tribes.

Today in The Bulletin, (the daily paper of Bend, Oregon) Ammon Bundy "dismissed the legitimacy of the Indian claims to the water in the Klamath Basin, referring to them as "liberal talking points that are there, designed to literally strip the people of their rights and to put the power in the government's hands"" In other words to hell with the law, to hell with the owners, to hell with sharing in difficult times, I want water now so you have to give it to me.

One small problem. There is no treaty.

The treaty that the Yurok signed in 1851 was never approved by two-thirds of the Senate and ratified by President Fillmore. The treaty never existed.

There are other treaties and court decisions that say the Klamath Basin tribes have the right to sufficient water to manage the salmon populations:

"Mattz vs. Arnett was a challenge to tribal sovereignty, the ability of tribes to govern themselves. The case went to the U.S. Supreme Court, and the state lost. The court affirmed, in 1973, the Yurok Tribe’s treaty rights to fish by traditional means, including gillnetting, and declared that the Yurok Reservation was indeed a part of Indian Country, a legal term that refers to lands held by tribes.

Boldt Decision of 1974, which reaffirmed the rights of tribes to co-manage their fisheries and to harvest according to various signed treaties."

Yes Citizen's property
But, Citizens of a State.
Not any Atlantic Coast, Yankee Federal
who veto those State's citizens!

Get It Or Not!

46% of Wyoming is public land. Tell me how Wyoming, a state with just 578,000 people, has the tax base to pay for the management of all that public land? If it were not for taxpayers in urban areas around the country, states like Wyoming would be like third world countries, yet you think that 578,000 people is a sufficient enough of a tax base to pay to manage and maintain millions of acres of public land in that state??

All that is fine and dandy. What the Yurok do NOT have are water rights. Their claim to it is a flat out leftist lie, as Bundy correctly stated because there was no treaty.

Maybe look at the source info. It has percentages of people and the party they affiliate with. It rejects your claim with actual data.

ALL that land going to waste, use it to build wind and solar farms. OR sell it to Canada (cheap)!

Bundy's deceit about his right to Klamath Basin water because there wasn't a previous treaty is just a variation on the the Israeli deceit of " A land without people for people without a land" Bundy and his friends are saying the same thing "Water without legal ownership, for land owners without water."

A little pair of woven grass sandals were found in a cave in southern Oregon. They were 10,000 years old. Trust me, the Klamath Basin Indians have rights.

Except that there was no deceit on the part of Bundy. It is you leftists who are doing all the deliberate lying by claiming a treaty existed when it never did. The navigable waters within the Klamath Basin are not Bundy's either. Nor do they belong to either the State of Oregon or California. As the Supreme Court has already held in Winters v. United States, 207 U.S. 564 (1908), unless Congress states otherwise, all navigable waters within the lower-48 are owned by the federal government.

Bundy is but one citizen. I'm another citizen, our votes as to what happen with that water cancel each other out.

There are 329,999,999 other Americans who have a say in what happens with that water.

.

What vote are you talking about?

The federal government owns all navigable waters within the lower-48, unless Congress has specified otherwise. There were no exceptions made by Congress concerning the navigable waters within the Klamath Basin. Therefore, all those navigable waters within the Klamath Basin are the property of the federal government. /END OF THREAD

There is no voting involved here. Get a clue.

Fascinating! Aside from Trump who used to be a Democrat, then joined Perot's party (I forget its' name), then noticed the Republican Party was full of suckers and joined, who are all these left wind Democrats?

Far right wingers declaring they have the absolute right to do whatever they want with property that isn't ****ing theirs.

Bundy and friends are dealing in deceit when they say the government is stealing their water. It's not their water. The problem is there is a drought . The government has to figure out how to fairly allot scarce water on about 5,000,000 acres and the friends of Bunds do not care who they hurt or how badly they harm the environment in order to get "their" water. Uneducated, selfish, aggressive, ignorant people like Bundy and friends are what make intelligent solution impossible and instead of getting a workable solution everybody suffers

It wasn't Bundy and friends who deliberately lied about an indian treaty that never existed.

Which is why the federal government should never be allowed to own the navigable waters in each State. How does it feel to have a bureaucrat in DC, a continent away and completely clueless about the issues in Oregon, managing your water?

Bundy does not have legal claim to the water, but neither does the State of Oregon.

Thanks for posts like yours. They remind me to be thankful that you are not in charge of managing anything except a little bit of Alaska along the Knik.

Actually, the State of Alaska owns its navigable waters, not the federal government. Which is more than can be said about Oregon.
