Americans only: How likely are you to vote in the November general elections ?

?

  • I am a registered voter and will DEFINITELY vote.

  • I am a registered voter and will VERY LIKELY vote.

  • I am a registered voter and will LIKELY vote.

  • I am a registered voter and it's about 50-50 that I will vote.

  • I am a registered voter and I will PROBABLY NOT vote.

  • I am a registered voter and I will DEFINITELY NOT vote.

  • I am NOT a registered voter YET, but will register in time and then vote.

  • I am INELIGIBLE to vote (too young, not a citizen, in prison, probation etc.)

Results are only viewable after voting.
I have already applied for my absentee ballot. I absolutely will vote.

I've become completely disenfranchised with participating in any kind of democratic electoral process.

If the past 8 years have taught me anything, it's that the average citizen lacks the intellect to process the abundance of information necessary to make an informed decision about governance. I would happily give up my voting rights to be led by an aristocratic elite instead of suffering the humiliation of standing in the voting line next to an "equivalent" citizen who is grossly overweight, unwashed, loud, uneducated, etc. and can hardly make decisions about governing themselves, let alone the most powerful state in human history.

There's no surprise to a statement like this, coming from you.
All you need to do is just not vote anymore and pray an aristocratic elite comes along and recognizes just how educated you really are.

Outside of that, one has to assume that you're not even really thinking in terms of giving up YOUR voting rights, but rather, forcing everyone else to give up theirs.
Well let's just simply ask what you're willing to resort to in order to accomplish that.

I would hope if someone plans NOT to vote that they keep their opinion of things to themselves

They have no voice.

They are the tree that fell in the forest.
Unless they don't support either candidate. They can voice their opinions whenever they want whether you like it or not.

Not voting while being emotionally involved enough to participate in a political message board isn’t cynicism. It’s petulance
There is a difference between being emotionally involved and intellectually involved. Some people just like the debate.

For all of you who didn't say "definitely"? If you're not going to take advantage of your right to vote, you have no reason to come in here and bitch about politics or the election. You chose not to participate.
They have whatever reason they see fit, especially the voters who don't support either candidate. Choosing not to vote sometimes means refusing to endorse either candidate. That is really what a vote is. It is an endorsement.

But like I said, their opinions are irrelevant.

My emphasis is on the liberal nimrod type who bitches and moans but stays home on Election Day playing Angry Birds.

To politicians, all opinions are irrelevant. All that matters to them is their own stances, and whether they get one more vote than their opponent. Both candidates are flip flopping so much they need their own line of flip flops at "Five Below".

Its the norm. Obama flip flopped on gay marriage in May 2012. Just in time for the election.

Trump flip flopping on abortion rights. Harris flip flopping on fracking. And people wonder why others don't vote. I disagree with Beto's stance on guns, but he had the balls to say it knowing it would probably sink him.

Yes you hate America and want it to fail that has been made quite clear. Our system has served us well for 250 years so I think we will vote to keep it. All the pissing and whining in the world won't change the fact that America is the best and most powerful nation on earth and will remain that way as long as we vote to continue it. This year that means voting for Kamala and making her our 1st women President. That is quite exciting to me. It's too bad haters like you cannot appreciate that.

Well said. I have zero respect for those who hate America. And people who are too ignorant to understand someone changing their positions on gay marriage or fracking once they learn more about the issue......are complete idiots and not to be taken seriously, IMO. Traitor trump, the Putin sucker, is the only one who LIES and flip flops several times within a couple of hours, to gaslight his ignorant stooges and suckers.
