Most voters oppose President Obama's reported plan to unilaterally grant amnesty to several million illegal immigrants and think Congress should challenge him in court if he goes ahead with it.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 62% of Likely U.S. Voters oppose the president granting amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants without the approval of Congress. Just 26% are in favor of Obama's plan, while 12% are undecided.

Well, I didn't favor Obama's executive orders on deferred action, but he had a point about prioritizing enforcement funds. And the court blocked his order for deferred action for non-dreamers. And now Trump whines because the court blocks his actions.

Also, Trump is using up resources on residents who have been keeping their noses clean, deporting people who are in the middle of trying to get on the right side of the law, giving ICE a bad name, and making enforcement harder as people become more afraid to have any contact with government agencies, among other actions he's taking which are at odds with his alleged goal of decreasing our vulnerability to criminal activity from undocumented aliens from south of the border. He's attempting to or threatening to make it more dangerous for people in places like Honduras and Guatemala, which will exacerbate the criminal problem he is supposedly so concerned about.

Reagan and G. W. Bush are on record offering amnesty for undocumented immigrants, not Obama. You simply disagree with both the English and legal definition of “amnesty” and instead use your own definition. We can’t have an intelligible discussion using different definition for the same words. Your unintelligible use of the word “amnesty” is the very definition of “double talk”.
