"The Pedophile's Guide to Love and Pleasure: A Child-Lover's Code of Conduct" was pulled from Amazon.com, a spokesman confirmed Thursday, after thousands of users posted angry comments and threats to boycott the site.
What of writing guides to shooting heroin safely. I view it as similar... however this is much more controversial and really unnecessary in my eyes. Essentially... how to more successfully victimize a child rather than be safe abusing a substance. Ick.
Is that actually the content of the book?
I refuse to click the link and read a synopsis
What kind of company would agree to publish this sort of thing?

It was self-published. He probably bought the equipment (a printing press, I guess, not sure what exactly is needed to publish a book) on his own and did it himself.
From what I have seen the author used a company that is a member of a group of companies owned by Amazon.
If anybody has info to dispute that, please post. I'm reading that any self-publishing company associated with Amazon is allowed to then sell any books on Amazon.
I think it was actually just an e-book. No printing necessary then. So much misleading info or missing info in this story.
Thanks. I knew it was an ebook but from what I saw Amazon is affiliated with the site the author used, so the book would have been sold by Amazon automatically.
I agree, though, about the misinformation. From the book actually being a tactic for an FBI sting operation to catch pedophiles (?) to the whole scene being a hoax - who knows???
