All Women Jury Chosen For George Zimmerman Trial [W:265]

you can download an app or there are websites. I am not sure what channels will play it.

I'm out of the loop. When does all of this begin? Is it being televised?

Meet the Zimmerman jury - U.S. News

Juror B-29: Originally from Chicago, she's been married for 10 years. The woman — who is either black or Hispanic and is the only juror who isn't white, according to prosecutors — has eight kids, one of them older than 18. This is her first time serving on a jury. The woman has been at her current job for three months, and when asked by prosecutor Bernie De La Rionda if she belonged to any organization, she said "my house is my organization," eliciting laughter and understanding from the courtroom.
Juror B-76: A resident of the Sanford, Fla., area since 1975, she has two adult children. During voir dire she said her 28-year-old son is an attorney who practices in the county, but his specialty is foreclosures, divorces and contract law and he does not practice criminal law. Her daughter is a certified nursing assistant. This juror is unemployed after running a construction company for 15 years with her husband. She and her husband manage rental properties and are helping their kids build homes. Her passion is rescuing animals, and this is her first time on a jury.

Juror B-37: A local for 18 years, and the daughter of an Air Force captain, she has been working for the same company for 16 years. Her husband is a "space attorney," meaning he has worked with the shuttle companies and is now working with rocket companies. One of her kids, a 24-year-old, is a pet groomer and the other is a 27-year-old student at the University of Central Florida. She likes animals and rescued them until her husband told her, "Stop!" She has been called to serve on a jury four times, but said she was never seated because of "where I work."

Juror B-51: She's served on juries before, once as an alternate in the early 1990s, and again three years ago in Seminole County. She is unmarried and does not have kids. Now retired, she previously worked as real estate agent. She was also the director of a call center with 1,200 employees under her. Asked by the prosecutor how she handled disputes in the workplace, she said, "You have to listen to all sides, and sometimes you just have to make the tough calls." A transplant from Atlanta, she has lived locally for nine years.

Juror E-6: A native Floridian, she has lived locally for two years. She has been married for six years and has two children, ages 11 and 13, and said she was proud to be raising them. She said said she was proud to be a member of a church. She is unemployed after being in school for nine months and working in financial services. Her husband is an engineer. She acknowledged that she was arrested in 1999 and told the court she was treated fairly, saying, "I deserved it". She has never served on a jury.

Juror E-40: She moved to the area from Iowa seven months ago. She is married to a chemical engineer and has one son, who lives in Western Pennsylvania. She told the court that in her spare time she likes to watch football, read and travel. She has worked as a safety officer, and served as a juror 20 years ago on a drug case in Pennsylvania. No verdict was reached in that case.

No one here has power to decide guilt or innocence. We can only offer predictions if he will be found guilty or not guilty.

Well the defense challenged every black juror so I guess the state said "if we can't have any blacks you can't have any card carrying white male NRA members."

We'll see how this turns out. I like the state's chances because every website I've been on the loudest and most irrational Zimmerman supporters happen to be white males.

Since when does 5 women and 1 male add up to being 'all women'

LOL - go fetch. . .but what I'm questioning is the '6 jurors for a trial' aspect. Just how accurate is this reporting?

1. 6 females on the jury. Below is a google spreadsheet, green made it on the jury, red were stricken.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AnQ_Iq4ss_C0dHdEOWxYa2RzcWt1ZkI5b2tuaGpvUXc#gid=0

2. In the State of Florida, 12 member jury for capital cases, 6 jurors for non-capital cases.

Actually, Bernie axed the black male for the jury not the Defense with one of his challenges. He still had challenges left at the end of the selection.

We all know that Mr. Zimmerman identified Martin as a teenager, by sight alone, within 30 seconds of seeing him on the street.
And we all know or should that he came to a different opinion that he was actually older during and after the attack, only to later find out that his original assessment was correct.

There was never any confusion in the media about Trayvon's age. He had just turned 17.. a minor in Florida.

sharon What is your point?
I was speaking as to what Zimmerman thought until the point he actually found out. Was that not obvious to you?

Did Zimmerman have the benefit of news reports prior to attacking him?
What was that? He didn't?
Then of course you have no point.

A minor that could be charged criminally as an adult.
A minor who was old enough top be emancipated.

You have no point.
Push on!

No confusion about the age, but the image, or at least the younger one,
that they kept showing even after a more current image was available.
I saw the younger image just last week, the media are still using it.

George told NEN that TM was a "teen".

The photo of TM in the red shirt was taken in August of 2011 and was the photo that Tracey Martin had in his wallet when Trayvonn was killed. He gave it to the police.

So you aren't paying attention as usual it seems.

As I previously stated.
And we all know or should that he came to a different opinion that he was actually older during and after the attack, only to later find out that his original assessment was correct.

So he knew he was a teen then conveniently changed his mind ling eniugh to kill.

Where do you get that?
This person had knocked him to the ground and was on-top attacking him. I too would then think he was older then my original assessment.

So if a recent photo was out there
why way the black and white photo of about a 14 year old TM the one that kept showing?

It doesn't matter how old he was, or how old Zimmerman thought he was... When a person's life or physical well being is being threatened by someone, it doesn't matter whether it's coming from someone who's 8 or 80.

Trayvon had just turned 16 when that photo was taken.. Look at him.. He was a tall, skinny kid in the midst of a growth spurt.

He wasn't shaving.

I don't remember anything during the dispatcher call where Zimmerman corrected that do you have anything else during the event? Or is only is story of "during" taken "after" the event that Zimmerman suddenly bumps the age?

I do remember that during the call Zimmerman identified the individual as being his late teens and during the bond hearing when he made his statement that it changed to "only a few years younger than me" (he was 28 at the time).

Do you have anything from that night or is it only after he was released by police custody and found out that the dead person was 17?

Yes... TM's father said that he had just gotten his first whisker.
And we know he is a liar. Now what? And that he wasn't really involved with his own kid.
We also have seen at least one pic with having a stache.
So stop speaking about thing you do not know.

Why are you playing dumb?
That was prior to the attack. Duh!

After the attack, on the stand, he said he though he was his age, and then found out his original assessment was correct.

Now stop with the damn games.

Trayvon had no moustache... Are you desperate, or what? How about post the picture of TM with a moustache.

Very few tall boys are shaving before they turn 20.. The short ones who quit growing at 15 sometimes are shaving regularly.

So you have nothing from that night that shows he revised his age statement, that he only revised his statement during his bond hearing weeks later when he was apologizing to Martin's parents for killing their son.

Not dumb, no games, but then I'm not trying to carry water for one side or the other.
