"All D's want to do is spend money on HC for illegal aliens." Let's discuss....

A better plan would be to enact an eVerify mandate, coupled with changes to the FIT code, allowing the IRS to act as the primary enforcement mechanism. If the US (W-2 and 1099) employment ‘magnet’ was removed, many (if not most) illegal aliens would elect to self-deport.
Trump deportation push largely ignores major tool—E-Verify system that employers can use to check workers

USCIS Suspends E-Verify Amid Government Shutdown

It looks like Donald Trump has disabled the e-Verify system (for employers to ensure workers are legally allowed to work in the US).

Idiots.

We are surrounded by absolute idiots.
Nah, Independents, Liberals, conscious-minded Americans, and Canadians are for the most part decent people.
But we are surrounded by MAGA types who ARE idiots. There is the distinction.

It would take a moron with no imagination to think that it would actually be a good thing if hospitals could refuse to treat you until they were satisfied that you were an (insured?) US citizen.

And you'd have to be a monster to boot, because you're talking about letting a human being die when you could easily save them; the death penalty, without trial, for a suspected federal misdemeanor, but really just based on skin color.

Non-responsive...yet again.

And if I had wings I'd be flying.

They're here. Would you have them die when they show up at an ER?

Want to take a shot at that?

Make the states pay their medical care providers for giving (“free” to the patients) charity care instead of adding that cost to the national debt. It seems the demorat’s plan (for everything) is to fund it via annual federal deficit (stimulus?) spending.

So just to be clear:

You want to see EMTALA federal law gone?

You want to see it up to states to determine whether or not every person who needs emergent medical treatment gets it?

Federal funding no longer flowing to medical facilities to provide care for those who are uninsured?

I’m thinking there’s not a lot of 2nd order thinking behind that statement…especially considering where you live.

But you do and you always will including the millions who have overstay VISA's from Canada, Europe, China, Japan etc.. What should an ER doctor do when a person presents themselves in the ER as an emergent case......ask their citizenship? How are they to know? Are you suggesting that the US has gotten to a place where you all need to carry papers and be prepared to present them? Why can't you answer a practical question with a practical answer not some deflection.
Clearly the Trump administration wants this - but, ah... only for black and brown people.

It's bullshit.

The root problem for Democrats is not illegals, but Trump/GOP efforts to gut healthcare for ALL Americans.

The ACA tax credits expire at the end of 2025 and Republicans say they will not vote to renew these tax credits.

(even though Republicans did vote to renew the 2018 tax bonanza reforms for wealthy Americans in their Big Cruel Bill)

Not renewing the ACA tax credits would result in a doubling or tripling of healthcare insurance premiums for Americans.

This is what the Democrats are fighting for. For decades, Republicans have been determined to remove healthcare for Americans.

They see this as their best opportunity before the 2026 midterm elections.

It’s not only about black and brown people.

But MAGas can’t see that.

They’re FINE with black and brown people being denied medical care.

What they don’t realize is that poor white people will ALSO be denied healthcare.

They’re incapable of seeing those leopards in the wings.

I have a better idea. Blue states contribute far more to the federal coffers than red states and get back only about $0.70 on the dollar (even less now that Maggot unilaterally suspended Congressionally approved funds for these states).

So I'd propose that states like NY keep their own money and send $0.00 to the federal government so asshole red states can handle their own problems.

Let's do that.

Nope.

Well, then there’s really nothing else to debate with you.

You don’t think healthcare - even simple emergency healthcare - should be a universal right for anyone in the US.

Got it.

Be able to pay or die.

👍✔️

Hahahahahahahahahahah

You have the audacity to talk about deficit spending when Maggot has increased the national debt more than any other president in the last 100 years?

GMAFB

Meanwhile, that poster collects federal subsidies and benefits and lives in a state that’s one of the largest sucking off the federal tit.

You’d have a better point if federal spending was limited to federal revenue. It seems the demorat’s plan (for everything) is to fund it via annual federal deficit (stimulus?) spending. Why do you suppose there’s no ‘pay for’ in the demorat’s latest demand for passing a ‘temporary’ CR with $1T of additional federal spending?

I emphasize, not renewing the ACA tax credits will **** not only immigrants, but ALL Americans that have Obamacare.

In addition, after 1 January 2026, the Medicaid cuts (affecting roughly 13 million Americans) from Trump's Big Cruel Bill will begin in earnest.

Millions of Americans will lose their Medicaid healthcare, and also millions of children will lose SNAP food benefits.

Republicans don't care a whit about Americans per se. They only care about their benefactors..... the ultra-wealthy.

What the Democrats are fighting for here.... are all Americans who depend on Obamacare, Medicaid, and Medicare healthcare.

The national debt increased by $7.8T during Trump’s prior term in office, yet the national debt increased by $8.42T during Biden’s term in office. The ‘root cause’ of this mess is congress critters (of both parties) enjoy re-election rates of over 90% by constantly engaging in annual federal deficit (stimulus?) spending. Which party occupies the WH makes no difference, since they won’t veto such nonsense.

Not "additional."

It's a continuation of tax credits for ACA health coverage (polls show 80% of Americans are in favor of this) and Medicaid for the indigent, most of whom are white.

And you can comment on deficit spending with the most profligate contributor to the national deficit sitting in the Oval Office?

The irony is rich.

The root problem is we have illegals in this country in the first place. When they get sick, what are they going to do and what are we going to do? When you provide them free healthcare you just encourage more of them to sneak over the border and hang around here indefinitely.
Sorry, no matter how bloodthirsty the right gets, we're not going to let people ****ing bleed out in the hospital room because they don't have proof of citizenship on their person.
