much more important is standing up to China's hegemony. China has pushed their 9 - ( nine dash) line into the littoral states territorial claims
China will have 3 aircraft carriers this decade, and plans for more.

So what does Biden do? he's trying to spend money on everything except Defense. *duh*

do you support Taiwan's independent autonomy? what's your position if China "invades" ( whatever that entails) Taiwan?

What makes you think China influences us being all that divided? Moreover what makes you think all of us "rally(ing) around our flag and our President" will mean when China makes whatever its next move is?

Is the life of your son,daughter, niece, nephew or some other loved one's life worth Taiwan's autonomy? Is Taiwan's autonomy worth trillions of our tax dollars?

We need to support America and our leaders. Otherwise they can not make strong decisions. In-fighting is what our enemies want.

I am thinking trillions because China is modernizing and expanding their military and the fact China significant;y has way more man power than we do.So it would take trillions to fight and even if by some miracle we won we would rebuild our shit and at the same stupidly rebuild China's shit that we destroyed.

Like 2016-2020 when all the anti-Trump tards made up claims of Russian collusion and other nonsense against Trump and tried to remove him from office on bogus charges.

the PLA is a much bigger army yes, but chances are any conflict would be naval( S China Sea/Taiwan Strait) for the foreseeable future

We still hold advantages in technology, but that's not going to last with our sanctions on Russia forcing Putin to get closer to Xi
They dont have a unified command structure, but they have wargamed under a unified command
