AIDE DETAILS TRUMP’S RAGE ON JAN. 6He Knew Crowd Was Armed, but Tried to Loosen Security, Testimony Recounts

The hearings have been riveting and terrifying. The usual suspects are, of course, nit-picking at the details — although never over the crucial points, like Donald Trump’s desire to participate in an armed assault on the Capitol, and never, tellingly, under oath. But realistically there is no longer any doubt that Trump tried to overturn the results of a lawful election, and when all else had failed, encouraged and tried to abet a violent attack on Congress.

No reasonable person can deny that what happened after the 2020 election was an attempted coup, a betrayal of everything America stands for.

This thread has gone astray

Assume the Big Lie was all a fraud and many, many republicans were in on it, from lawyers who have been disbarred to legislators who falsified electors to literally defraud the country

Assume Trump did exactly what he did, set up a rally with the intent it would get “wild” and made sure that happened.

Assume damn near all of them knew and promoted all of it and didn’t care if legislators or even the Vice President died because they “deserved it.”

Assume damn near every Republican in the country supports all of that or is too aftraid to say otherwise

Assume all of that

How does any of that matter if Trump didn’t try to grab the steering wheel of a vehicle he was in?

This whole thing period has gone astray.

1) Trump is NOT President.
2) Biden won the Executive Branch and is currently the sitting President
3) Nancy Pelosi Retained Majority Leader
4) Chuck Schumer is the Majority Senate leader
4a) Kamala Harris is the VP and swing vote in the Senate

With this much Majority while lacking the super majority.... What have you done in the last 2 years......

Blame Trump for an attempted coup...

Great Job...... really.. great job.....

When Republicans take 2022 and the Majority. They will do the same thing.... committees to find Biden guilty of crimes and DO NO useful legislation.

what a damn shame and what a damn waste.....

2) Pelosi NOR Trump have authorization to active the Guard that is done by the Governor.
Do you remember where you heard that? Because the DC National Guard webpage says this:

This authority to activate the D.C. National Guard has been delegated, by the President, to the Secretary of Defense and further delegated to the Secretary of the Army. The D.C. National Guard is the only National Guard unit, out of all of the 54 states and territories, which reports only to the President.

It's looking very much like there was an actual conspiracy to hack American democracy that went all the way to the highest levels of our government. Doesn't that concern you? Don't you want to hold corrupt government officials accountable?

So, now you want to gaslight? Sigh.

What is your question? It doesn't sound like he testified about Trump crawling across the seat and grabbing the wheel, and he's denied it happened.
No, he didn't. Someone said he denied it He hasn't said a thing.. Heresay?

Oh Snap! I learned something new Thank you, I stand corrected. Sorry I didnt know. But has that been precedent for a while or has that been changed

regardless thought. I appreciate the correction.

Isnt that what the Judicial Branch of our Government is capable of doing. I didnt realize the executive and legislative branch should do that. I figured if they wanted to fix American they could do some good legislation and let the DOJ do its thing. Or.... is our DOJ horrible at its job and needs the other branches to intervene?

She had a number examples of weak and/or hearsay testimony. I agree that the 'wrestling the wheel' thing doesn't matter, and shouldn't have been included in the hearing. Same with the Ketchup incident and breaking dishes. Same with hearing shouting down the hall.

Can you give some examples of the 'damning eyewitness testimony'
like what?

Flip that around - capitol security is always important. There is always going to be reasons why people are frustrated/upset/angry. This is hardly the first such event at the capitol area - nor will it be the last. The capitol needs to be appropriately protected when similar crowds happen - adequate physical security and law enforcement presence.
When was the capitol last stormed?

You ain't seen nothin' yet. The Righty SCOTUS is setting their sights on states right to effe with election rules in 2023.

The DOJ is inherently reluctant to go after high level government officials, even if it seems clear a law was probably broken. It's the only reason Clinton didn't face any charges for plainly violating the Federal Records Act with her private email server. Any regular Joe would've been in Leavenworth for that. They even have an internal policy that a sitting president should never be indicted. Nobody wants the impression that the DOJ has been weaponized in a partisan manner. They need solid evidence first and so far this committee is providing that, to both them and to the public. Mid-level Trump officials have been raided by the FBI, Fox news is starting to admit the hearings have been very "powerful", and even a few voters in WY are admitting that Trump had a moment of insanity.

If this committee is standing on a solid foundation of truth, which seems to be the case, then it's not a witch hunt and it doesn't seem reasonable to fear the Republicans assembling a BS witch hunt in retaliation, unless they're the ones being unreasonable. In which case I hope they dirty politics themselves out of a job.

Really? Tell us when people last stormed the Capitol trying to stop the Vice President and Congress from performing their Constitutionally required duty, while chanting to hang someone. I must have missed that.

I don't think it's an attempt to discredit her at all. She seemed very sincere. It's more that people are laughing at the committee, who called an emergency meeting to bring up a relatively low level staffer to give stories about things she 'heard'. Especially amusing that the committee chose to spend time on the 'wheel grabbing' and 'ketchup-gate' incidents

No, it wouldn't be, because she wasn't there. The person who witnessed the incident would be the credible source.

See above.

That "relatively low level staffer" sat right outside the office of Trump's Chief of Staff, which is right next to the office of the President. Trump was so inept that he allowed this "low level staffer" access to him, his COS, and everyone else?

part of the concern in 2020 by the 'we wuz robbed' crowd was the states, and courts, suddenly changing election laws.
its not clear why those election law changes were generally <okay> but subsequent ones are generally suspect.

Excuse me it takes time load such weight and strap it down. You need say 5 people to shove that carcass in. Its like a very large water bed only more greasy,

Think of trying to squeeze Jabba the Hutt in a vehicle.

When leftist get caught lying and engaging in perjury - they just lie harder.

America again saw what the Nazi left is all about as the Stalinist Show Trial AGAIN lied to America in the pogrom against Trump.

She claims Ornato told her the tale - she lied as instructed by Rep. Adam Schiff (Nazi, CA). She committed perjury.

Now she did so on behalf of the democrat Reich, which means she is above the law, so no charges will ever be filed - Nazis are not subject to any law.

How was your Nazi meeting yesterday?

So I'm a Nazi because I want you to prove Tony Ornato has countered Hutchinson's testimony - like you keep claiming. How low can you get?

I already proved taht Ornato refuted the perjury of Hutchinson.

democrats are Nazis because;

  • democrats have a scapegoat based on race. Whites are the new "Juden."
    • Republicans judge people by the content of their Character
  • democrats are collectivist, seeking control of the means of production by their Reich.
    • Republicans support free people trading freely with each other
  • democrats are totalitarian. Well duh.
    • Republicans promote individual liberty
  • democrats supplant civil rights with group privilege
    • Republicans support rights for all
  • democrats eradicate the rule of law and create dictatorship based on the party
    • Capricious and arbitrary rule by dictators runs against the concepts of liberty
  • democrats forcibly suppress religion
    • The state is the god of the democrats
  • democrats crush freedom of speech
    • Hate speech laws, political correctness, cancel culture
  • democrats create a police state and "Roger Stone" enemies for even minor process crimes in order to create terror
    • One of your own opposed Biden's border treason and had the Gestapo kick his door in.

Hey! Thank you for making my point!

There have been many large crowds and events in the area. Normally the Capitol ensures there are adequate personnel on hand - officers backed up by national guard - to ensure that the crowds don't get out of hand. This time, they didn't, the police were overwhelmed, and the capitol was breached. What is different about this event IS the question they need to answer - followed by what needs to be done to to prevent the security failure in the future.

Given that the capitol police chief recognized the potential danger at this event, and repeatedly asked for help, the obvious question should be - why did the sergeants at arms turn him down? Followed by, why does that building have commercial doors and windows that can be breached by an unarmed crowd?

There are always going to be protesters and angry crowds with the potential to turn violent. We've seen them across the country.

Lol how professional, you even bullet pointed your Dems are nazi talking points.

And if an anonymous source saying something someone else supposedly said is "proof" then by that logic Hutchison testified correctly.
