What's too funny is that it's hard to imagine anyone making a more of an inept attempt at making a comparison than the one you just so laughingly offered. But then again can't say that it comes as that much of a surprise either,

The hearings have been riveting and terrifying. The usual suspects are, of course, nit-picking at the details — although never over the crucial points, like Donald Trump’s desire to participate in an armed assault on the Capitol, and never, tellingly, under oath. But realistically there is no longer any doubt that Trump tried to overturn the results of a lawful election, and when all else had failed, encouraged and tried to abet a violent attack on Congress.

No reasonable person can deny that what happened after the 2020 election was an attempted coup, a betrayal of everything America stands for.
