An anonymous source gives them heresay so that they can say a woman under oath, who admitted it was hearsay, was lying about what someone else told her and should they get their way and it not be true, then they don't go after the source that told her that, they pretend she her self lied and therefore all of her testimony is false.

IF this happened and the SS gave testimony under oath, when then it follows that the Jan. 6 committee has known about his "bombshell" for over a year. I'm trying to imagine why they would have a low-level aide testify to this hearsay rather than say, bring the SS agents actually in the car that day, to give first-hand testimony as to the allegation.
