He's not wrong. You and others have used that as an excuse for abortion numerous times.

One of the causes of maltreatment of a child is because he/she was unwanted:

What is the point of this random interjection if not to try to "justify abortion because a fetus may be "unwanted" and the parents might abuse it after birth?"

Heck, that's the meaning behind your signature as well: "Every child deserves to be wanted and loved (so kill all the unwanted ones before they reach childhood)."

I do not feel a woman needs to justify having an early abortion.
Most women who choose abortion have thought carefully about their options and do not take abortion lightly.
If she feels an early abortion is the best solution for her at the time it is her choice.

Ridiculous Law and prisons wouldnt have enough capacity for the 10th 2oth and 5ooth time recidivists

Government doesn't need to determine "who" is responsible, but rather "what" is responsible. Problem is, the government literally rewards the opposite, they reward "irresponsibility". Ask me how, and I'll prove that to you rather easily.

Nothing can change the situation of an "unwanted child"? I'll contest that. I have several friends and family members who got pregnant, but they didn't "want" a child. Nevertheless, they had them, and raised them. Ya know, ironically, none of them would take it all back in hindsight. So, at first, the pregnancy was unwanted. But once the child was born, it was a blessing.

Go talk to a few teenage moms. They say they didn't "want" a child. But the majority of them wouldn't trade it all now. Children have a strange way of warming people's hearts. And I dare say, that if a woman could get past her "reasons", whatever they may be, and not abort her baby, she would find that that baby was the biggest blessing in her life.

I also know plenty of people whose life was a mess. But when they had a child, they got their act together, and became quality, responsible people. The fact that abortion is so easily accessible and affordable, makes MEN worse too. It's a solution to "manning up" and being responsible.

meh i've had two unwanted pregnancies. Carried both to term. Gave my last child up for adoption to my best friend who couldn't have children. I've made pile of mistakes in my life. That was the best decision ever.

Did it ever occur to you that a man is not being responsible when he is trying to outlaw abortion? Some women every year die or are permanently seriously injured due to medically unforeseeable complications in late pregnancy and childbirth, and the US has abysmal rates for both problems. If there is no blanket option for abortion at least in early pregnancy, then the law is forcing pregnancy to continue, and those who make that law, or vote for people who make it, are responsible for every one of those deaths or permanent serious injuries due to unforeseeable complications, because they will be unable to make exceptions for complications that cannot be foreseen.

I have no idea whether or not you're married, but legally, spouses are mutually responsible for one another's health, and if your wife died of such unforeseeable complications after you had voted anti-abortion lawmakers into office, you would be guilty of causing the death of your own wife, along with all other anti-abortion voters. Call it love if you want . . . .
