Simply calling this a "unnecessary waste of taxpayer money" is not the issue. This suggestion that that is the argument against this ignores the core issue, which the damage (not physical, but in terms of the stature of the US) this will cause. The symbolism and image of this is un-American. It is an anathema to everything that America has been for 250 years. Moreover, it will merely encourage Trump to use the military in ways that were never intended by an patriotic American today.

The waste of money is the least of the damages here.... which, btw, will be less than Trump calling up the NG and dispatching the Marines to LA last week.

I live in Colorado, I don't watch TV on Saturdays... Is it even being broadcast? I thought networks were obsessed with attaining high ratings. Maybe some upstart network that lacks content will give it a look. There are, however, more than a dozen "No Kings" protests across our state.

If you mean that he did not die because of that incident with the tank, yes, you are absolutely right. But you were not being very clear. So if you mean that you know he did not die afterwards, can you please provide a link? I have always heard that he was taken away and nobody knows who he is or if he still lives. The cameraman also says that in the video if I am not mistaken. Led away on the side walk. I have always hoped he survived, but I think the chances are slim.
