I remember this episode (one of my co-teachers actually played most of it during class on the last day before schools shut down). I remember Joe taking COVID much more seriously here but I did not recall this clip and how much it contrasts with where he stands now. It is clear he has become the very person he called out in 2020:

"I hope this wakes people up to the value of vaccines. There's so many wackos out there that think vaccines are a scam or dangerous. There's so many people out there who won't vaccinate their children."

"People are so paranoid and delusional. They want it all to be a conspiracy. There's been an amazing medical innovation in human culture and that's vaccines. Had there been adverse effects on people? Of course. Everything we do there will be people who react in a bad way. That doesn't mean it's not a positive thing."

I miss this Joe Rogan.

And folks continue ever forward having opinions about Rogan's opinions that they actually don't understand.

There are a ton of Rogan opinions I don't agree with, and I usually find out about them becuase he has someone on his show with an opposing opinion to his.

Rogan is pro vaccine as the clip aboveshows... which doesn't mean he is pro-every-vaccine. He is also not pro-mandate. THis isn't some gotcha to anyone but tjhe dopes who see everything in black and white.

He also has experts on from both sides of any discussion to make their arguments... you all forget he had Sanjay Gupta on his show in the same general time frame to argue in favor of COVID vaccine and the mandates...

Folks are at war with open dialogue, the cornerstone of western civilization, and they look like idiots doing it.

Anyone who says young people should not get the vaccine is not pro vaccine.

No, he had Sanjay Gupta on so he can attack him for a CNN headline about horse dewormer.

Folks are at war with open dialogue, the cornerstone of western civilization, and they look like idiots doing it.

Was 2020 Joe Rogan at war with 'open dialogue' when he called out anti-vaxxers as wackos?

Anyone who says young people should not get the vaccine is not pro vaccine.

See, like I said, you folks are locked into black and white arguments and it's not a good look for you.

Saying that he doesn't think a healthy kid doesn't need the vaccine isn't opposing the vaccine any more than saying a healthy kid doesn't need chemo is anti-chemo.

He's right that a healthy kid doesn't need the COVID vaccine, the numbers show that unvaccinated healthy kids already have far better COVID outcomes than vaccinated adults.

Any argument about the potential complications from COVID for adults who may catch COVID from children is a good argument for that ADULT getting vaccinated, not the child.

No, he had Sanjay Gupta on so he can attack him for a CNN headline about horse dewormer.

That was a part of the 2 hour conversation, but fools see a short clip and assume there is nothing else..

Was 2020 Joe Rogan at war with 'open dialogue' when he called out anti-vaxxers as wackos?

... I don't think you fully grasp the concept of open dialogue. Calling someone's point of view whacko isn't shuting down dialogue, it's expressing your opposition. Calling to deplatform someone because you think their position is whacko is going to war against open dialogue.

Does your video show him demandiong anti-vaxxers be deplatformed? I'd be surprised if he did. Rogan, from what I have seen of him, likes to give everyone the a voice for, at minimum, material for his comedy.

It's the same joe rogan. He's not anti-vax. He is only smeared as such because he's against mandates.

Rogan took ivermectin, and hydocloroquin then said he didn't know if it helped, but he thanked Western medicine for them.

He knows what he was doing.

He apologized cause he realized the potential for advertisement money wasn't worth a renewed Spotify contract.

The guy is a money whore pitching to incels and edge lords.

Regarding your 3 comments:
I'm not familiar with what Joe Rogan says or has said but if he said young people shouldn't necessarily be forced to get COVID vaccines it sounds like he's familiar with which age demographics are especially susceptible to COVID and which are not. Here we are 2 years in so we should all have learned that by now.

As for Ivermectin, we all should also know by now that many studies have shown it can be effective and is being prescribed & taken in COVID therapy regimens.

And calling anyone anything doesn't ban them or cancel them or prevent their speech. Being blocked from websites does that.

But other than those 3 glaring mistakes you're right on the money.

Of course you're on the ivermectin train.

He is against vaccinating young people. Plus, I'm pretty sure he himself is not vaccinated.

Hmmmm, I've always thought the term "edge lords" was highly amusing but the other day I read about a male self pleasuring technique called "edging" which turns out to just be nothing more than nursing along a case of blue-balls till you're near the edge of insanity, I guess.

Are "edge lords" just horny incels who practice this technique?
And yes, I suspect most of Rogan's audience as gullible incels and .... edge lords. 😆

He said young people don't need it. Which is bullshit because young people can still spread it and being vaccinated dramatically reduces the chances of getting infected and spread to others.

As for Ivermectin, we all should also know by now that many studies have shown it can be effective and is being prescribed & taken in COVID therapy regimens.

One laboratory study found that ivermectin may be able to reduce COVID-19 infection — but it’s crucial to note that this was an in-vitro (or test tube study) that did not involve humans, according to Johnson-Arbor.

“It’s important to understand that a drug such as ivermectin may be effective against COVID-19 infection in a test tube in-vitro study, but that does not mean that it will have the same effect in humans,” Johnson-Arbor said.

Some people have taken those findings to mean that the drug can treat COVID-19, but there are many critical differences between in-vitro studies and human studies.

Several clinical studies around the world are evaluating the use of ivermectin for COVID-19, but those results from many of these studies aren’t yet available.

“The data needs to be peer-reviewed and published before the scientific and medical community can provide an informed opinion,” said Salinas. “At this point, the currently available data do not support its use.”

Let's be real, most people interested in taking Ivermectin are people who are unvaccinated and looking for an excuse to stay unvaccinated. Btw, what happened to all the hype on hydroxychoriquin?

And calling anyone anything doesn't ban them or cancel them or prevent their speech. Being blocked from websites does that.

Not looking to get Rogan 'banned.' I look to call people out when they push misinformation.

Capitalism strikes again. It's about the 'money-money-money-money. Gimme that delicious money. Let me sell my soul for the money.'

Joe Rogan is the epitome of a sellout.

No no no....edging involves a man's penis, and a (preferably?) woman's mouth. But not, like, all the way in her mouth.

You got more googling to do.

See, like I said, you folks are locked into black and white arguments and it's not a good look for you.

Actually that would be people of your ilk who think vaccines have to work 100% of the time or else they are a scam.
Saying that he doesn't think a healthy kid doesn't need the vaccine isn't opposing the vaccine any more than saying a healthy kid doesn't need chemo is anti-chemo.

Chemo is for treatment. Vaccines are for prevention. Please work on your analogies.

He's right that a healthy kid doesn't need the COVID vaccine,

No, he isn't because a healthy kid can still contract and spread the virus.
the numbers show that unvaccinated healthy kids already have far better COVID outcomes than vaccinated adults.

So?

Any argument about the potential complications from COVID for adults who may catch COVID from children is a good argument for that ADULT getting vaccinated, not the child.

The 15% or so of unvaccinated adults are not going to get vaccinated at this point. Get real.
That was a part of the 2 hour conversation, but fools see a short clip and assume there is nothing else..

Then please provide the clip that gives us 'something else.' (whatever that means.)

#1. I am not for deplatforming Rogan.
#2. Even if he was deplatformed, Rogan isn't disappearing. He'd just be made out to be a martyr.
Does your video show him demandiong anti-vaxxers be deplatformed.

Does my thread mention anything about deplatforming?

He is against vaccinating young people. Plus, I'm pretty sure he himself is not vaccinated.

It is not black and white. There is a very good argument to made that children don’t need to be vaccinated given the extremely low risk Covid represents to them. Especially today given the transmissibility of omicron. Certainly prioritizing them over other populations makes no sense.

No one is prioritizing the young over other groups. And please refer back to my multiple responses to the bolded. 🤦‍♂️

Nope, the piece I was reading talked about going right to the edge of orgasm and backing off.
When I was a hormonally inspired teen, that was just called "having a case of blue balls", only it was considered a highly unfortunate state to be in, that of being turned down for sex after being tantalized
to the point where "launch sequence was engaged" and said "launch" was suddenly canceled.

Now apparently it's a refined sexual technique, I guess. 😆

I sense that Joe Rogan appeals mainly to white men because he can appear to be open to ideas in order to change for the better, but it doesn't really happen.

My point is that you made an absolute statement: if you are against vaccinating kids you are anti vaccine.“. To not put too fine a point on it that is horseshit. There is a legitimate argument to be made against vaccinating any low risk population - prioritization being one such argument. And in point of fact the WHO argues against 3rd vaccinations and vaccinating children to the extent that those practices keep vaccines from being distributed to countries with low vaccine availability.

And yes I know kids get Covid. They rarely have bad outcomes so that must be weighed against the above as well as the rare, but real, chance of a reaction to the vaccine.

As to transmission, given omicron that argument is no longer valid. It arguably may not ever have been valid.

My colleague got covid from her elementary school-aged son. She was sick; he was not.

There are no absolutes in life. The benefits and risks need to be weighed both on an individual and a societal level. If we mass vaccinate our kids and that leads to lower vaccination levels in Africa and a new variant arises from that that is 10X more lethal the decision to mass vaccinate our kids looks a whole lot less smart.

Or closer to home the incidence of myocarditis after vaccination in 12-17 year olds is 70 per million vaccinations (140 per million young teens given 2 dose vaccines)

There were about 600 deaths from covid among kids aged 18 and younger. There are 73 million18 and unders in the United States. That works out to about 10 deaths per million compared to a myocarditis rate of about 140 per million.

Of course you can argue that myocarditis is far less severe than dying and that’s true enough but myocarditis is no walk in the park either. It is not a slam dunk decision. And frankly 9-10x more kids die in car accidents than from covid.
