A quarter of the CDC is gone.

I guess you forgot that Trump got a shot of Hydroxychoroquine when he had Covid which he claimed saved his life and it was "over in 3 days".
CDC & every media outlet at the time called it snake oil, but now, it's recommended. How about that snake oil?
Hey, just a heads up, since you alone appear to know that Trump received a shot of HCQ, we can only conclude that you are part of his medical staff. Normally that would be cool to have somebody so close to Trump on this site—and I have so many questions—but the thing I’m concerned about are private medical disclosures potentially being in conflict with HIPAA. Could you please check with the Big Guy and confirm that he’s okay with you disclosing his private medical information on a public forum?

I just want to make sure we’re all being attentive to Donald’s right to medical privacy. I’m sure you understand.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

It was a novel virus.
So the CDC needs to be bloated?
Should we abolish NSA, CIA, FBI, and DOD because they failed to predict 9/11?
Yes but because of their failure but because of their role being encroaching into law making. These bureaus should only ever be advisory with no law making ability. That's what Congress is for.

The CDC is one of those things that made America great, a thing that America had that nobody else could do.
Trump and his cult want to pare America down, carve away everything that isn't absolutely necessary. What's left won't be greatness.

We really were the leader of the free world once. And it wasn't just because we had more aircraft carriers and fighter jets.

Sad, how far this nation has fallen already. Sadder still, how far we have left to fall. An empire in decline.

I’m just impressed they figured out how to administer a molecule like hydroxychloroquine parenterally.

CDC's work description should be limited to new and/or novel diseases that states need help with quantifying and formulating methods to control. They shouldn't be declaring these political over-the-top edicts such as: gun violence is a heath hazard or mental health in kids is a national emergency. This stinks like make-work-wield-power. Ultimately the real work is done in the state and local level.

Yeah I don't mind them researching virology and controlling diseases that's when they start to say that they need to do a study on gun ownership that's like the ATF doing a study on bladder infections it's just inappropriate. And we all know the reason for them doing that.

Good this overpowered organization needs to be reduced it should be advisory anyway.

You like the idea of America's foremost expert agency on diseases & epi/pandemics be reduced to bare-bones?

Why do you hate your country so much?

Trump also says that grocery prices are down. Trump also used a Sharpie on a hurricane map to attempt to cover up a simple mistake, rather than admitting it.

Trump received monoclonal antibody treatment when he had COVID - which was the most cutting edge treatment available at the time, not even approved for COVID treatment, yet.

Have you got a quote from Trump re: HCQ? Because I have one for Regeneron:

...When President Donald Trump got sick with Covid-19 in October, he credited an antibody drug from Regeneron with making him feel better “immediately.”

“I felt as good three days ago as I do now,” he said in a video
shot in front of the White House after he left Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, promising medicines from Regeneron and Eli Lilly would soon be available to the American public to help stop the terrible effects of Covid-19

I'm pretty sure the poster is refractory to factual information.

Come on dude.

We need to return to the medical level of the 1890s to be great again and again.

Everyone is gonna love tetanus again

Kids are gonna consider it the "in" thing to be in iron lungs! So awesome!

Good ole Bernie on the pharma payroll. Straw man argument from him. I very seriously doubt he even read the book.

An RFKrazy Jr. automatic response if i ever saw one.
