Weekend Shootings: 7 killed, 46 hurt in gun violence across Chicago - Chicago Sun-Times
Just another weekend in Chicago.

To maintain that the media is silent about this is to admit to lying.
In the past 48hrs, the USA horrifically lost 34 people to mass shootings.
On average, across any 48hrs, we also lose…
500 to Medical errors
300 to the Flu
250 to Suicide
200 to Car Accidents
40 to Homicide via Handgun
Often our emotions respond more to spectacle than to data.

You quoted one of the largest newspapers in Chicago and then said the media was silent in the same post...
It's all over the front of the Tribune's site. So wtf are you even talking about?

We gotta ban them guns, though. The only way to do that is to chicken little every shooting that comes along.

Neil deGrasse Tyson: Mass shooting tweet about guns causes backlash for astrophysicist on Twitter - CBS News
"In the past 48hrs, the USA horrifically lost 34 people to mass shootings," Tyson wrote Sunday afternoon. He then compared the "average" number of people who die in other ways across "any 48hrs."
"On average, across any 48hrs, we also lose… 500 to Medical errors, 300 to the Flu, 250 to Suicide, 200 to Car Accidents, 40 to Homicide via Handgun," he reasoned. "Often our emotions respond more to spectacle than to data."
Yes, humans are emotional. This is why we respond emotionally also to terrorism. Based on Tyson's "data," we lose way more people every week from such incidents than the number of people we lost in 9/11.
As someone who has probably done exactly this before, seriously, **** this deflection crap. That’s really all this is. Just because there were other types of murders and other murderers doesn’t negate the horror of mass shootings/killings committed just for hate sake.
