5 lyric song guess

Ok I will start a new one

“Soho down to Brighton”

"doing what she did before"

I can't resist!

"Be on my side, I'll be on your side"

Em7 & A on guitar - if anyone's interested.

Neil Young - "Down by the River", @Chomsky?

Yep. I figured it would be an easy one for those into it, as it was the intro vocal phrase.

The tune has a special place for me, as it was one of the very first tunes I learned to play as a kid. Back then with no Internet & no YouTube. You played the LP over and over, often slowly - manually using your hand - until you figured it out!

Surprisingly, decades later WITH YouTube and the Internet, I found I had gotten it right all those years ago. But I swear, I still hear an occasional Em9 in there that the Internet does not!

And back then with no Internet and no knowledge of open tunings, I can't tell you how many convoluted chord structures I built while spending my days (& nights!) attempting to learn CSNY tunes from all the members various permutations & partnerships - while using standard tuning. Ouch!

Owl loved to rest quietly whilst no one was watching.
Sitting on a fence one day,
He was surprised when suddenly a kangaroo ran close by.
Now this may not seem strange, but when Owl overheard Kangaroo whisper to no one in
Particular...

Well he did already give us the song. ;)

Ah, I didn't realize that was the song title. Never heard of it. I thought it was another lyrical hint.

Please carry on then . . .

Geezus, that sounds like something Lewis Carroll could have written.

I looked that one up too, because I knew I'd never get it. You'll likely be surprised....I was.
