18- to 20-year-olds can’t be barred from buying handguns, judge rules

Answer the question; you make the claim that guns have more than one purpose. What are these other purposes?

You claimed they have only one. Answer what purpose a motor vehicle has other than spinning its wheels round and round.

Flood the streets with armed criminals and crazies while disarming the sheep. Great plan. 👍
Finally, an admission from the 2A types that they really are sheeple. Thank you for the honesty my friend! ☮️

You don't have opinions?

Sure. One is that ball sports are childish endeavors and subsidizing places for adults to indulge in them is a waste of resources.

People seem to enjoy them though, so I avoid acting like my opinion should matter to them.

I don't go around yelling at Coke drinkers that they should switch to Pepsi, either.

Ooh, let's see. Taking kids to school, vacationing, delivering food, fuel and consumer goods, racing, humanitarian work, emergency response vehicles, military applications. I'll think of a few more. Your turn...

Hmmm.
"The number of youth hunters between 6 and 17 has grown by a whopping 60% from 2007 to 2017. At the same time, the growth in hunting participation in the general population has stayed relatively level.".
Hmmm. Unsourced numbers and graphs from a fledgling camouflage company whose mission is "...to actively engage youth in hunting, conservation and the outdoors." Faux news, check your sources for credibility my friend. ☮️

None of those things are done without the wheels spinning round and round.

That was your intention with your "put holes in things" nonsense. To reduce everything to silliness.

Oh ffs! You're not doing very well. So apart from going 'bang!' and putting holes in things, what else do guns do? You claim versatility, so forgive me if I fail to see any-especially when you can't articulate any.

Oh well. More animals for the rest of us to kill. A little more help would be nice, but it is what it is.

That’s where I was headed when I asked him to give me a percentage. One figure I heard repeated was 90% U.S. origin, which is just ludicrous:

The next one I heard was “70%,” but that’s ridiculous, too. How can they come up with a percentage when the Mexicans are tight-lipped about how many guns they’ve recovered and what percentage of that total they submitted for tracing to the U.S. government? It’s likely they only submit guns they believe to be of U.S. origin. These anti-gunners latch onto a stat and get the media to parrot it like it’s gospel.
From your source - Whether the number is 90 percent, or 36 percent, or something else, there’s no dispute that thousands of guns are being illegaIly transported into Mexico by way of the United States each year.

Then there is this - Mexico launches appeal in suit against U.S. gun makers

"A favorable decision in the court of appeals will allow the government to prove its case on the merits - that the gun manufacturers' marketing and distribution practices amount to actively facilitating the trafficking of their guns into Mexico," the government said in a statement.
The Mexican government's appeal is targeting Smith and Wesson Brands Inc (SWBI.O) and Sturm, Ruger and Co (RGR.N), as well as Barrett Firearms Manufacturing Inc, Beretta USA Corp, Colt's Manufacturing Co, Century International Arms Inc, Witmer Public Safety Group Inc and pistol-maker Glock Inc.

Purpose is determined by the user.

The only thing motor vehicles do is make noise and turn their wheels round and round.

Sorry your own "clever" argument was so easily turned round.

It is quite amusing that you want to argue the point that the USA is the number #1 supplier of weapons worldwide. It is a honor we have spent years trying to achieve.

U.S. dominates global arms sales, with Russia falling far behind

The United States is the largest arms exporter by 24 percentage points, with 33% during 2013-2017 increasing to 40% in 2018-2022. The other top countries were Russia, France, China and Germany.

That link has nothing to do with the topic. Of course, you don’t care and are posting about global “weapons” sales in thread about the age to buy handguns from FFL dealers.

DEA says cartels are arming themselves with military grade weapons coming from the US

SAN ANTONIO — Mexican cartels such as CJNG or Jalisco New Generation and Sinaloa cartels are arming themselves with military-grade weapons. And the Mexican government is saying most of these destructive weapons, such as AK-47 and M-16 are coming from the United States.

At least 2.5 million illegal firearms were smuggled into Mexico during the last 10 years, according to a new Mexican government study. And the cycle just keeps growing, drugs go north, weapons and money go south... weapons, that are having a deadly effect.

“The weapons and the ammunition and guns we're seeing are traded for narcotics, these weapons will be transported into Mexico via the US and in the hopes of obtaining narcotics,” says Richard Sanchez, the Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the McAllen district in the Rio Grande.

Let me know when you find fully automatic or select fire M-16s or AK-47s (which aren’t handguns, BTW) for sale in Texas (or any other state).

Well do your best; you haven't managed so far!

Purpose is determined by the user.

You have no response to that.

Just like you have no response to the mirror held up to your "put holes in things" silliness.

And have you abandoned your grumbling and grousing about hunting? That would probably be better for your digestion. Why fret so over something that doesn't affect you.

Wars in distant countries don't affect me personally either; does that preclude me from voicing an opinion about them? I'm not a film maker either; does that stop me from criticising a crap movie?
Hunting for fun is pointless; why do it if you're not going to eat what you killed? I'm still waiting to be educated on the versatility of guns, by the way, but you seem curiously coy on the subject.

I'm sorry you're troubled so greatly over our many hunting opportunities here in America, and so many available to the common citizen at nominal cost.

You want to be allowed to respond, " That's just punching holes" to every purpose.

I already showed how that works with your purposes for motor vehicles.

I hope you didn't lay awake giggling to yourself, how you were finally going to get one over on ol' RF.

But fine, trapshooting is a purpose of some guns I've had. See what you can do.

Sorry mate, you failed. Nothing personal. So, this alleged versatility you claim for guns. Any sightings yet, or should I assume you couldn't find anything?

I just said I used some of my guns for trapshooting. American Trap, to be specific. That's a competitive sport. You can look it up.

I have. Just fine.

Excellent; putting lots of little holes in a clay pigeon. Thanks for proving my point.

Uh no....that isn't the purpose at all. Merely putting holes in a target doesn't count.

But it's funny you tried doing exactly what I said you would. Guess you anticipated it so long, you just couldn't help yourself.

Have you come up with a purpose for motor vehicles that doesn't involve the wheels going round and round?

That’s a pretty impressive goal posts move there. Hope you stretched first.

So where do you think those M16s and AKs are coming from. I will give you a hint. It’s not from gun stores.

I noted it seems a bit odd that so many are Colts, if they're being brought in piecemeal over the border. I ain't sure he understood that.

Not helping your cause if you are trying to use the old "red state gun violence is up because of DNC led cities" argument...

You see, most of those red states don't even have a minimum age requirement for firearms...
Pretty funny to see you come in here talking about people not helping their case and then immediately post easily disproven lies.

What's the point of hunting? I understand that herds need to be culled, but I don't consider hunting animals for fun a valid argument for a nice day out. Trophy hunting, canned 'hunting'. All beyond the pale.
Do you think anyone really cares if you consider hunting a valid argument or not.
