here's another example of how diverse our shootings are and it's a really bizarre double murder of a well know family (Murdaughs) in South Carolina. i think this one will make one of those "True Crime" TV shows.

the mother and son were gunned down this past Monday (it's the son on the right i think).

BUT, here's the twist...

A boat crash killed 19-year-old Mallory Beach, and three felony charges were filed against Paul Murdaugh, 20 at the time."





here's the 19yo girl who died in the boat crash in 2019 (her family has filed a wrongful death suit because the kids on the boat were (evidently) drunk or refused sobriety tests)...

no one dying is irrelevant....that is fortunate...but now they have a lifetime of injuries and mental health issues to deal with.

well, if 1,000 people are shot and only two die then it's not classified as a mass killing. i think you need 3 deaths.

its classified as a mass shooting....no one is saying it is a mass killing, but it is a mass shooting....and it takes time to know if anyone ultimately dies from their injuries.

Would you say that it was a mass shooting what happened in Publix? Unknown to the shooter....walks in shoots a 2 year old baby and then the grandma and then himself....the shooter did not know the victims....

A perfect example is being mentally ill in thinking that taking another life is acceptable.
My wife lost a friend years ago when her estranged husband ambushed her with a shotgun after work.
All of these shooters are sick ****s, and I find their behavior unacceptable.

Good news here though is that no one died. Bad news is that we can't even enjoy a night out on the town without concerns that some nut will shoot the place up.

It happened right outside the club my foster daughter was at. I am glad she and the person she was with are uninjured. That is just too close for comfort though.
