Israel is engaged in indiscriminate bombing using heavy ordnance against densely populated civilian groups, they have cut off food aid and medical aid to everyone in the strip (what, were the starving infants providing material support to Hamas?) and the government is openly talking about permanently deporting the population. It's a genocide. No less terrible than the Warsaw Ghetto Massacre. We are just waiting for the trains to take the Palestinians for their "specially-designated permanent relocation".

How exactly did gay bars being more common in the Weimar Era matter when the Nazis came to power?

Those bars didn’t stay open and the Nazis didn’t have a list of everyone who went to them. The Nazis killed exactly as many homosexuals and trans people as they got their hands on. Nazi Germany was not full of out homosexuals.
