why in the hell ( maybe not the best phrase) do we need a GOVERNMENT "faith office?"
It's prima facie a violation of the 1st to advocate for religion. you can be neutral abut it, or claim your own faith,
but not government funding/advocacy as an entity

Simple - Paula White is a blatant heretic, a promoter of the false gospel, the prosperity gospel.

Setting her up as head of a supposed "faith office" is flat out wrong on so many levels. I certainly vehemently oppose both - her and the very concept of a "faith office."
 
This thread is young, and I am admittedly in the dark being an atheist, but I am shocked at the pushback and disagreement from a few that I would otherwise expect to be all aboard on this.

It’s the blatant, “I talk to God and if you send me $$$money$$$ I’ll talk to God for you.”, aspect of the whole thing. White makes the Rev. act Ike seem spotless by comparison.

It’s Trump, a con man, using his high office to promote other frauds. I’d be amazed if Trump isn’t getting a cut.

OK. I guess after reading this I WILL watch one more episode of The Righteuous Gemstones. That seems to be more grounded and reality based all of a sudden.

What? Paula white is government. That's the point. Private sector prosperity gospel okay. Government religion not okay.

I don't know what you call a "building wealth" ministry, but I call it prosperity gospel. And Paula White is government. There's nothing confusing about my points.

There's nothing Christian about the Prosperity Gospel (aka the Word of Faith movement). It's promoters, ala Paula White, Joyce Meyer (P. White's mentor), Kenneth Copeland (seriously deranged), Jesse Duplantis, Creflo Dollar, Benny Hinn, T. D. Jakes, Robert Tilton, et. al. are all heretical teachers and about as far from the Christian faith as it gets - despite their claims.
