Simple - Paula White is a blatant heretic, a promoter of the false gospel, the prosperity gospel.

Trump hatred is a good thing and need not be "stifled". My childhood hatred of Nazis - real ones - was equally entirely appropriate.

Which is why she fits in perfectly with Trump and why Trump would be attracted to her (not like in a romantic sense). She's a con, like he is. She preys on people to steal her money, a lot of these televangelists are in that boat, but the prosperity gospel folk appear to be the worst of the worst. And who would Trump love more than the worst sorts of con artists?

It also highlights the fact that Trump doesn't actually give a **** about religion. A lot of evangelicals and the like grabbed onto Trump because Trump uses religion as a political prop, and they think he's going to promote their religion or that he's on their side. But this move demonstrates that for Trump, religion is just for show. Many religious people would be skeptical at best about a "faith office" from the government, and many don't like these prosperity gospel con artists. It's not for them. So for Trump, religion is a game to him, and he'll be happy to let you keep promoting your god and using you, so long as you or your god never tell him "no".

You gotta be careful with commies, they're gonna try to sell you on a lot of shit before they cement their power. But once they've established, they'll turn on you faster than Trump can bankrupt a casino.

Some people really want to believe, and sending these preachers money is one way to reinforce that belief.

While most of these TV preachers are simple using their flocks to get rich, regardless of what they tell themselves (and others) they are doing, I think there are a few who really believe they have a direct pipeline to God. These few, like many cult leaders, mix charisma, borne of fervent belief in what they are espousing, with delusions of grandeur and god-like powers. White seems like one of them to me.

What she is, is a criminal con artist taking advantage of those weak enough to be taken advantage of. She’s right in Trump’s wheel house. Different species but still birds of a similar feather.

its almost a universal true - dump a bunch of money into something and it'll get destroyed ........ schools, families, a business, the Govt, .....

religion is maybe the biggest one that the love of money destroys

Apparently you didn't actually read my post. Trump hatred in that individual's case led to making an absurd conclusion which was contrary to all the facts - in this case "folks on the right" who believe in this Paula White crap - none of whom have even participated in this thread.

You can hate Nazis, but when your hatred of Nazis leads to wholly unwarranted conclusions, it's time to stifle that hatred - or at least redirect it to things that actually warrant it.

Paula White is a heretic; a false teacher; someone wholly anathema to Christianity. That she was tapped to lead this supposed "Faith Office" is an abominable travesty on two counts: first, her aforementioned heretical beliefs. And second, the office itself, which is wholly anathema to our Constitution. I do NOT support it and I definitely do not support her. And the sooner that office is abolished and she's turned back onto the streets to cheat her gullible followers out of their hard earned money, the better (not for them of course, but at least for the country - cuz they're guilty of their gullibility).
