“Trump is a Soviet asset – and my presidency hasn’t gone the way I’d hoped”

He sent offensive weapons (Javelin missiles, grenade launchers, sniper rifles, etc.), not just defensive weapons.

You forget the part where the Javelins were not allowed within 170 miles of any armed conflict involving Russia.
It was all designed for appearances only.
That's WHY Russia managed to make as much forward progress as it did back then.

What makes Trump a useful idiot of Putin? His desire to end the war?
Desiring for Russia to win the war makes him that, yes. Thanks for asking.,

You forget that Russia's full-on invasion hadn't even begun when Trump was in office. Biden could have lifted that restriction at any time, but Biden was similarly cautious about the use of offensive weapons. He only relented once he realized how dire Ukraine's situation had become in 2023/24.

Trumps done neither. Like @Deuce you are just making shit up.

After Trump & Vance insulted Zelensky in the Oval Office, American aid was cut off from Ukraine.
Trump has also suggested Ukraine gives up almost all already-stolen territory while Russia gives up nothing.

Yeah, as I edited and added in my previous post above, Europe isn't used to being disrespected the way Trump so blatantly has. They're used to having the US pay for its continental security and used to having the US basically set up the global economy in such a way that the US and our allies (including Europe) can outsource the production to poorer countries who give them their higher standard of living and consume, consume, consume, as they borrow, borrow, borrow to pay for their generous welfare state. Trump's pivot away from Europe threatens to undo all of that, and it's happening much, much faster than they ever envisioned. Europe's in for a rude awakening.

Europe is desperately trying to keep Trump aligned with Europe's security framework, and the centrist political parties in Europe stand to lose a lot if they can't keep Trump's America in Europe's corner. We're talking about the potential for a collapse of NATO and Europe as we've come to know it, and that would be a terrible development for many (most?) of the mainstream political parties and figures in Europe if this happened on their watch.
But this just isn't true of Portugal. First, it's a dumping ground for German and Italian exports. Second, what defines Portugual is the Estado Novo's scour marks across the economy, to this day.

An asset is not the same thing as a spy. Interesting article on this.

‘The perfect target’: Russia cultivated Trump as asset for 40 years – ex-KGB spy

"Donald Trump was cultivated as a Russian asset over 40 years and proved so willing to parrot anti-western propaganda that there were celebrations in Moscow, a former KGB spy has told the Guardian. Yuri Shvets, posted to Washington by the Soviet Union in the 1980s, compares the former US president to “the Cambridge five”, the British spy ring that passed secrets to Moscow during the second world war and early cold war. ...“This is an example where people were recruited when they were just students and then they rose to important positions; something like that was happening with Trump,” Shvets said..."

His ex-wife's father moled him.

That was 3 days ago. Whats the problem?

I was referring to the time after the meeting where Trump & his yappy dog Vance treated Zelensky like shit in the Oval. Some time after that meeting, Ukraine aid was suspended, including intel sharing.

It was only restarted (sort of) after the mineral deal between the U.S. and Ukraine was signed.

The news item you posted is unrelated to that.

First of all, he wasnt mistreated in the Oval. Second, the US is providing Ukraine with weapons. And third Trump does not want Russia to 'win.' So you got exactly nothing right

The Oval Office meet with Zelensky was NOT "three days ago".

That's the point. Your "gotcha" falls flat.

For more info, see @Roadvirus's Post #115.
How does Trump want Putin to win if aid has been flowing for months, including more aid from the link I provided?

Most importantly, though, @Fletch ignored this part of @Roadvirus' Post #115:

...Some time after that meeting, Ukraine aid was suspended, including intel sharing.

It was only restarted (sort of) after the mineral deal between the U.S. and Ukraine was signed....

Btw, @Fletch, that "intel sharing" that trump suspended was/is vitally important to Ukraine's ability to defend itself against incoming missiles and drones launched by Russia.

First of all, he wasnt mistreated in the Oval.

Yes he was. Trump & his dog treated him like dirt, in front of the media, in the Oval Office.

This was covered very thoroughly after it happened.

Second, the US is providing Ukraine with weapons

Yes...now.

But back then, Trump had completely cut off aid & intel-sharing with Ukraine. It was only some weeks later (and after more civilians had been killed & Russia had stolen more territory in Kharkiv) that the weapons started flowing again because Zelensky agreed to a mineral-sharing deal with us.

And third Trump does not want Russia to 'win.'

He has a funny way of showing it.

Yes. that was the take by the democrat propaganda department

That deal was signed in April. Its September
He has a funny way of showing it.
NATO will buy weapons from us and give Zelensky anything he wants. But dont let facts interrupt your TDS narrative.

You need basic luck to do just about anything.

But to claim getting an agent into the office of the president itself, and safely keeping him there, comes down to nothing but luck is rather nonsensical
And no one has ever claimed that.
