If you don't think vaccines don't work due to mild breakthrough infections, then you don't understand the roll of antibodies and the B-Cell response and vaccines.

To understand, you need to refer to the link to get the full picture. Vermont has the highest vaccination rate in the nation. So why does it have such a high covid rate as of late?? I'll take a guess. Because vaccinated people don't seem to understand that they can STILL GET covid and spread it. So they don't wear masks and/or the vaccines may not be that effective. Thanks!!

What truth? I admit the vaccine is far from perfect especially against newer variants. It still provides excellent protection. I believe SouthernDemocrat posted the stats. What have you got other than excuses?
Israel should not be giving 4th booster shots in this short a period of time. The vaccines are obviously not lasting, but tweaking an immune system to that degree?? We don't even do that to 1200 pound livestock. Thanks!!

Based on the data from your own link, Vermont doesn't have a high COVID rate, recently or overall. The cases to date for Vermont reads 4,647 per 100K (compared to 12,086 per 100K nationally) and the cases for the week ending 5th Sept, they're 163.8 per 100K (compared to 344.8 per 100K nationally).
You have to define 'safe' I have been vaccinated, so generally speaking ( as opposed to in absolute terms), I am safe from emergency rooms, hospitals, ventilators and the morgue. I am not safe from a loss of taste, fever, achy muscles, coughing, congestion, headache, and a limited series of really miserable days at home.
There are no excuses. There is a glaring discrepancy between states with high vaccination rates and the spread of covid. And that spread means that people had to be suffering from it for the state to report them as covid positive or they wouldn't be included in those numbers. So my question is, WHY. I think not wearing masks is only part of it. I think the lack of social distancing is part of it but I also think the vaccines are meeting more and more resistance, and their efficacy is waning. The vaccines are working as advertised. It was never advertised as 100% effective. The Delta variant is much more virulent than previous variants and vaccinated people are catching it but largely they are not getting very sick.
