To what do you attribute Zohran Mamdani's insane popularity across the board?

The vast majority of people in NYC in those demographics want to see more in return for the taxes that they pay. They’re stretched financially and they expect their government to be utilizing the tax revenue that it receives to work for THEM - the bulk of them - and not just super wealthy interests.

A combination of obvious charisma, eloquence, media savvy and a robust platform that appeals to a cash strapped, beset working and middle class grappling with an intensifying cost of living and housing crisis; his success comes despite the handicaps of his sandbagging party and consistently unfavourable media coverage.

He's smart, likeable, and has a sort of contagious enthusiasm. His platform is the same commie crap that's been tried countless times - free this, free that, don't worry about how it will be paid for, the good intentions are enough. Many voters fall for it unfortunately.

In my opinion, he's made a huge political error by being so specific about what he wants to do.

Voters get a choice only between the individuals that step up and raise their hands - want more choices? Encourage more people
TO raise a hand. Or raise your own if you think you can do better.

It's where the parties put their money most likely wins, because it pays for favorable news and opinions which sways public opinion and the more money, the more it's shown in front of the publics face giving them a huge edge over candidates with considerable less money.

In 2024 there was no other option for the democrats except Harris, once they delayed the Biden dropout. Guess this was a mere coincidence, huh? Truthfully though, it's probably a huge sign of a major problem in the DNC......leaderless with few if any better candidates willing to come forward during this radical left tirade which is happening today within the party.

Fundraising largely falls on the shoulders of a candidate. Especially at local level races and for unknown individuals. THEY have to get funding. THEY have to host fundraisers. THEY have to get PACs to donate to them. THEY have to get endorsements.

Have you ever worked a political campaign? Ever actually been involved in one?

It doesn’t seem by what you post that you have.

Fundraising and getting endorsements is something the CANDIDATE and their campaign is largely responsible for.

Running for a political office is WORK. It requires building a team that’s willing to support you - often for nothing - to even get off the ground. Then having that team be good at what they do.

And that’s not confined to either side of the aisle.

And if you want a “party” to support you - then you better have been putting in some time supporting and working with the party to earn the respect and support of the people that volunteer their time and efforts. Because that’s what the “parties” are largely composed of - unpaid volunteers.

This article is from January of this year and shows that money equates to popularity, more access, and his rise to popularity in the left with a lot of his donations coming from outside the NYC area.

In the primaries with Cuomo getting spanked and now running as an independent, the left is hedging a Mamdani win......hence why I say it's being given to him. Although I know it takes hard work, the left is going to do what's necessary to get "their" candidate the ticket.
