This could be great news.

Good news -- if Russia accepts the offer.

Maybe, just maybe, that deranged tyrant is getting a bit scared that maybe he bit off a little too much this time.

There are also rumors that he is physically ill.

Yes, it is just a rumor, but -- quite frankly -- many people hope that it is NOT just a rumor!

It seems surreal that Europe is again at war, with many refugees seeking safety.

I don't even want Putin dead. I'd much prefer that he does a swap in positions with Navalny.

To date, Putin has refused to meet/negotiate directly with Zelenskyy who has asked many times.

And even if this did happen, what can Zelenskyy give away? Crimea? Donbas? Democracy?

These things belong to all Ukrainians are not Zelenskyy's to barter away.

He would have to be very careful .... perhaps only promising to not request NATO membership.

But he could not relegate Ukraine to be a vassal state of Russia. Ukrainians would not accept no EU membership or no free elections.

If Zelenskyy goes beyond certain parameters, his name will be be cursed for generations.

Russia is also insisting any talks should be in Minsk. Minsk is even less safe a location than Moscow. In Moscow at least the Russians would pretend to be good hosts, though they'd just delver ultimatums. In Belarus the Ukrainian delegation would probably be arrested by Belarus police and Moscow would just say "that Lukashenka, he's such a lose cannon, there is nothing we can do".

Lukashenka allowed the Russian military to stage there, and cruise missiles were fired into Ukraine from Belarus territory.

Minsk is an invasion ally of Moscow plain and simple.

Yep, but also someone the Russians can have to do the dirty jobs they don't want to do themselves, thus Minsk probably even more dangerous than even Moscow.

Reports from Kyiv say a Ukrainian and Russian delegation will meet close to the Belarus border.

Russia has committed about two-thirds of her forces that were ringing Ukraine. Russian war planners are not looking very good right now.

Th Russian military has introduced their TOS-1 Solntsepyok (Sunburn) 220 mm multiple rocket launchers into Ukraine. The multiple launched missiles can be either incendiary or fuel-air explosives.

They suck all the air from an area and the heat incinerates everything. Human bodies explode from the lack of pressure and from the heat.

These are terrible weapons that Russia has used in Chechnya, Afghanistan, and Syria.
