The reality is that Zelensky at the time was playing the US on the rare earth minerals deal, hoping for another handout while disrespecting the Vice President, addressing him as "JD", and showing no intention at the time of accepting the concept of working out a peace agreement.

Yes, our own hard work & dedication to building this nation into what it was destined to be, the beacon & champion of the free world, brought us here. But so did learning to work & play well with others.

Isolationism is one of the stupidest policies imaginable. It was a near-destructive mistake in the late 30s & early 40s and it is just as such a mistake now. And Trump is too bloody stupid to see that.

He's ruined our long friendship with Canada. He's a hair's width from irreparably damaging our century-long solid relationship with Western Europe & is working to dump our Eastern European friends into a dumpster like an unwanted newborn.

And the sad part? You lot who support him have no problem with that.

Temporary blip. I think he has gone overboard a bit with the 51st state rhetoric, however in the long run, Canada like everyone else will ultimately accept that the USA will not take it in the shorts on every foreign trade deal, and learn to live with it. Reciprocal tariffs are fair.

I support what Trump campaigned on and has followed through on. Living in a southern border state, I feel safer with the southern border secured. I like the idea of cleaning out the corruption that existed in the FBI, Dept of Justice, and the intelligence services. I also favor stopping Iran from building nukes. And I am all on board in regard to fair trade. I support tax cuts. What's not to support?

I cannot argue with that. The drone attack taking out the bombers was well planned and executed. Israeli Mossad agents accomplishing something similar on a grand scale is admirable as well.

He wanted a security guarantee. A solid, signed deal with a security guarantee that said the U.S. would help them throttle Russia again in the event of Putzin re-invading Ukraine once the world moved on to other things & Russia re-armed following any signed peace deal.

And before you go saying "But Europe...", just stop. A security guarantee is useless without the U.S. involved.
