yes, morton's the palm, the capitol. chains; so low end and inedible
yes rev, i am laughing at you
i still extend the invitation to try a great brixx or puck's pizza should you venture on down

Yes, when I go to out to eat, I always check out the "high end" **cough cough** places found in casinos, and malls... :lamo

What next? are you going to wax culinary excellence on how P.F. Changs is the best high end chinese resturaunt? or I know, how the best "italian" can be had at olive garden!

lmao!

Roberta's in brooklyn

Pictures speak for them self.

no doubt, bad restaurants cannot survive in NYC
but that does not make them good
actually, carnagie's deli is one of my favorites - especially their cheesecake

You tourists... :lamo

but my burg - aka God's country - offers food that is as good as - and frequently better than - that which i found in NYC

Well, since big box chains, hard rock cafe, bubba's shrimp., friday's, et al is where you eat, I won't argue with you on that, if I ate that ****, and missed out on all the great restauraunts in NY, I'd be hatin on it too....

Clearly, your applebees is better than mine. :pimpdaddy:

You realize that advertising pictures aren't real food. They are made out of plastic. :rofl

Shouldn't a place name Brixx use a brick oven?

Yeah man, I posted pics of both brixx and Roberta's actual pizza, you replied with staged shots... oh wait, you do believe chuck e cheese pizza looks that good on the TV....

and even then the top picture of the brixx pizza looks like an oily piece of frozen ****. :lamo

I am headed out to the spotted pig,

The Spotted Pig - New York

Perhaps you can suggest a better brew pub around, perhaps the outback? :lamo

smug New yorker talking **** again

look, I don't care how good your chefs think they are, your food is being shipped in large trucks sitting for days, or weeks. The air quality where you live is so bad, I question if you have the ole factory senses to even weigh in on what tastes good or bad. It's like a blind guy arguing his paintings are better.

We don't go bragging about the sea food in the midwest for a good reason, too bad smug New Yorkers don't have enough sense to apply this logic to their own arrogance.

I agree, you really shouldn't brag about seafood in the midwest. :prof

Many resturaunts in new york are embracing the "local food" movment, this one here in y0onkers is one of my favorites....

http://www.xaviars.com/yonkers/

all sourced from the hudson valley.

I even have a milkman who brings me my milk and eggs. We have EVERYTHING here.

If you want some of bubba's pizza and hooters wings, more power to you, It just is more reason for me to be arrogant and smug about my culinary superiority.... :pimpdaddy:

I will say that Chicago pizza is still better.

NY cheese pizza I'm a believer. A guy named Joe's retired here in FL, got bored and opened a pizza parlor like his successful one in Brooklyn. All name brands and others take a back seat to this guys pizza, though it cost twice as much.

local food growing under smog with toxic water runoff. yum yum .

You realize that advertising pictures aren't real food. They are made out of plastic. :rofl
wanted to find photos with each maker's name included
rev went searching for crappy photos he could try to pawn off as representative of brixx' offerings
we will let each look at those photos with the names attached and see for themselves which pizza they would prefer
for me, it is the local stuff, not made with crappy NYC water
Shouldn't a place name Brixx use a brick oven?
they do
hence, the name

If you wish to sound ignorant, I would suggest you not look up the location of the hudson valley, it's north west of the city, runoff runs the other way. :prof

so food is trucked in on large trucks and sits for days in the traffic and smog.

and of course, you can't possibly produce enough in the Hudson valley to feed people, so most of what restaurants use is shipped much further way.

And none of this deals with the issue that your environment is so riddled with pollution your sense of smell isn't worth ****. Like I stated previously, you are basically a blind guy arguing that you paint better then everyone else.

Even with the marketing pictures, the first pizza looks like an oily piece of frozen ****. ROberta's looks better, and I bet that pizza made in that pic went to a customer,

Brixx wishes it could stack up against a roberta's....

once again we see the failure of Quality control of a ****ty southern pizza chain. :lamo

uhm how congested do you think it is here. It's an hr to the hudson valley from midtown. /facepalm

and of course, you can't possibly produce enough in the Hudson valley to feed people, so most of what restaurants use is shipped much further way.

Well, you're right, it sure aint no chicken fried steak!

Or a foodie, one who cooks at a high level (see the dinner thread), and has a very capable palate. For example, if you hit up grand central oyster bar, where they have sometimes 20+ different veraities of oysters, I can name thier terroir down to a couple hundred miles, east, west, north south, euopean, I don't like to brag, as the Good Reverend is a humble sort. But I know food, very very well... :pimpdaddy:

I used to love pepperoni, olives, light sauce on thin crust with extra cheese. Now I make my own with Udi's gluten free pizza dough...and put bacon pieces with cheese, light sauce, crumbled broccoli, and artichoke hearts if I have them.

What is your fav pizza?
either sausage, onion, green pepper, and mushrooms or double pepperoni and double cheese...yummy....

Theres only one place for Real Pizza......thas right. Chi-Town.(Looking back at NY, with a Nonchalant look
f_whistle.gif
) Thin Crust, Deep Dish, Priazo. Loaded. Hold the Anchovies!

Yeah thats what we sell to to those New Yorkers when they come visiting. Their use to that microwave pizza. :allhail

There was one place a buddy of mine took me to, best pizza in chicago, i forget where, lots of bars and college talent.

The pizza man was from new york.

Like i said i love the "pizza" (note quotes) at poquods in morton grove..... But it's not real pizza.

One of the Best is Arranello's Far South Suburbs. Best Deep Dish, Stuffed, and Thin Crust Pizza around. Expensive too. Then there is Sanfrantello's. The Smaller authentic places are the Best. Not any of the Commercialized ones. ;)
