Yet Another Reason To Love Liz Cheney (1 Viewer)

The recklessness of it all is disconcerting.
What recklessness of the government going hog wild hiring too many people the previous administration creating an immigration crisis and the government's stealing billions from us to fund nonsense?

Good thing we have Trump. If he fulfills half of his promises things will be better

Cutting government staff
Deporting illegal aliens
Transparency with how government wastes money
Odd responses but I have yet to see a single spreadsheet highlighting actual dollars "wasted" in a single one of his wrecking ball system of analyzing wasted money in a single category/department. Deporting illegals but not all legally. Transparency? No comment.

So all of these systems are free and the people don't collect a paycheck? Why do we need a bloated oppressive government what purpose does it serve other than to micromanage everyone's life?

Huh?
Transparency? No comment.
Doge showed what a waste of money the department of education is obviously because since their inception are education has utterly crumbled and every penny that spent on that is absolutely wasted this thing functions as nothing more than a money laundering outfit. I think much of the money that it stole from the taxpayers went to help Democrats get elected. You should feel happy that people aren't at the doors of these Democrats with pitchforks demanding every cent back. That's how you know you're in a civilized country.

Also the debacle that is USAID.

I wondered how they went through all the money they stole from people and now I understand.

Aren't planes like crashing into each other now?

Since people were fired without regard for their performance or necessity, this comment is wildly off the mark. The metaphor of him using a chainsaw bears that out.

Although, I have no doubt you'll post for the next 15 pages saying otherwise. :)

Since their services are no longer needed

Our government is in desperate need of that. It's bloat is strangling the middle class.

Nope a chainsaw is exactly the right tool here.

Luv-v-v-v-v that woman!!!!!!!!!

Former Representative Liz Cheney took a swipe at President Donald Trump as she welcomed the election of a new pontiff, Pope Leo XIV.
Although the former GOP congresswoman from Wyoming did not explicitly mention the president, it was apparent that she was describing Trump as "an American man of depraved cruelty, corruption, and shame" in an X, formerly Twitter post, on Friday.

YES!!
Its great Liz took time out from promoting murdering people worldwide with war to comment on this.

I guess we found the mythical Cheney / Kamala swing voter. I wonder if they have a spiral horn, like a unicorn. Clearly pandering to one voter is a great election strategy.

What does that have to do with the GREAT thing she just said about Donald Trump?

Well, if Dems snuggle up to torture-supporters who hate Trump, what is the opposition to Trump based on in the first place? His hair?

I note the absence of any specific cuts just broad demagoguery so typical of Orange Man Bad. In the real world employees can deliver outstanding performance but if the function is no longet needed or the staffing redundant the employee can be dismissed.

What makes you think the cuts were based on merit or redundancy?

Is that because we aren't keeping a lot of needles employees?

Due to the Department of Government Efficiency’s budget cuts and layoffs, the FAA staff continues to decrease, despite the recent aircraft fatalities. In February, around 400 FAA personnel were let go.

No air traffic controllers were laid off, according to FAA Administrator Sean Duffy. However, the 400 people who were let go held direct roles in supporting safety inspectors and airport operations such as aviation safety assistants, maintenance mechanics and nautical information specialists.

Based on what?
Is not the SOP for war, better safe than sorry?
Uh....no, not even remotely.

If you want to win the support of locals grabbing up innocent civilians and torturing them on little to no evidence, as the US did, is a terrible idea.

How about so-called probationary employees, designated successors in waiting? By definition they are redundant.

You'll have to point out how these aircraft accidents are caused by must float in the FAA staff

On that I agree.
But, one needs to be careful when in a war with whom one associates with.

The obligation is on the US not to torture totally innocent civilians and, additionally, not to protect its war criminals.
