Well, when you cite the completely BS "Global Warming Petition Project" then you give the game away. Have you looked into that, like at all? What it is a bunch of people who have supposedly 'signed' a petition, and the requirement is that they have a degree in something sort of scientificy sounding, but that's it. My dad could have signed it, and his knowledge of AGW was approximately ZERO. My local vet could sign it, and he treats dogs and cats for a living and there's no reason to trust his judgment over the lady taking my money at the gas station or a bartender.

Do you understand that the whole concept is reasonabley straight forward and if lots of electrical engineers say that a particular rocket engine is not going to work because of stuff they know about even though it is not necessarily rocket science should make you think that there might be a problem.

I know this because I can look at maps and pictures of the rivers coming out of Greenalnd and see that there are not many many Mississippi sized or bigger rivers there each summer. Thus I can with very basic sums show that Greenland is gaining ice mass. No need for satelites that nobody can check the working out of.

If that's the argument, that's fine, and I'm sure you won't mind me using the internet to make a recommendation for your cancer treatment, right? And if we want to know about the state of cancer research, what works and what does not, we can poll anyone with a scientific sounding degree in the past 70 years and treat that poll just like the views of a NIH cancer researcher, or a cancer doctor at Cleveland Clinic or Mayo, right?
