In vitro meat, which is also called lab-grown meat, test-tube meat, or cultured meat, has made a lot of headway in the past five years—and it’s not far off beginning to tempt the public palate.
In vitro meat is no longer a question of whether this will be our future—but when.

Test tube burgers are predicted to be available at a reasonable cost within a few years. PETA has helped bankroll the millions of dollars in funding that's been needed to perfect Petri dish meat.
Would you try lab grown meat?

I don't eat meat anyway...especially red/pork meat.
I don't eat anything I am not prepared to kill, dress and prepare myself.
And I am not killing cows or pigs. And chickens and fish I could do it - but I do not want to.
Itwould depend on how it tastes and what the texture is. There is Surimi that tastes good and there is such that makes me want to be sick. It is like with snails or fish.

Absolutely.
I'd replace all my actual meat with lab grown if it tasted the same.
And another question...when this is the norm...what happens to cows? We've basically destroyed that animal with breeding...they can't survive without us. Think about it. You've seen wild horses, wild dogs, wild pigs. When's the last time you saw a wild cow?
I'm just curious about the actual health side of it. I still don't believe that GMOs are harmless, it just defies logic. Not that we can stop the GMO train at this point.
What is that, a carp? I've never seen that fringe on a gill cover before.
Whatever it is, looks like it's full of roe.

The fish had been already been gutted in this pic. This is of my son Zack who caught this 54 lb. Striper off of the kayak behind him. He got this one off of the sunken steel ships in Kiptopeke Virginia on the Chesapeake Bay. When he hooked on, I said see ya! He had no idea that he was going to be pulled a 1/4 mile away before he got the cow up onto his lap in the kayak. I sat there laughing while he fought this cow.
Some day he will catch up to Pop's. I have a 59 pounder on my 13' Ocean Kayak.
I am too old to be out there on a kayak these days. The November cold nights really start to hurt when you are 59.
