Which is why I said "maybe" to reading the place... although there are some pretty sick stuff in the Sexuality forum and the Basement. What I said though is that I wouldn't want them posting here because however interesting this place is to them, they're too young to apply that interest into the discussion.
Of course. When I was 12, I was actively praying for the failure of the Democratic presidential nominee on the grounds that he was the Antichrist.
Would you allow your 13 year old child to read and post on this forum?
The idea that this is anywhere near the worst site that a 13 year-old looks at is hilarious.
News for those of you with 13 year olds and computers: Your children are going behind your back and looking at crazy porn all the goddamn time.

I honestly never did that until I was 16. Porn scared me up until then.

Either that or he's outflanked and outfoxed dear old Dad!Knowing that I check on his internet use, but not how, has kept young Goshin-Jr away from the kinky stuff so far.
That's always a possibility, but lets put it this way-if/when mine do, they WILL be found out. We have tracking software and filters to monitor such things. Not to mention every computer in the place is passworded, some in foreign languages. Not only that, the only computers they are allowed to use are in plain view in common areas with me or my ex supervising. They do not have internet access in their rooms.
Not necessarily.
There's that little function called History, and if they don't know how to erase it or have been warned not to on pain of waterboarding, you can see everywhere they've been.

You're right.....we need to ban the kids!:lol::lol:I wouldn't want him realizing how much smarter he is than I. We can't have that now can we? He can find his own forum.
My parents thought the exact same thing. The problem is that kids are infinitely more technologically savvy than their parents.
At 13, it was easy to wake up at 2am, sneak down to the living room, disable the computer passwords, use proxies to get around filters, and check out all the 40k jpgs of "cindy crawford nude porn boobs" that I could Yahoo!
The only hard part was making sure the modem dial up noise didn't wake the dog, but thankfully, that's no longer an issue.
Then there's the issue of non-home computers, friends iphones, etc. Hoo boy.
Kerry, the antichrist?
Kind of a boring antichrist, don't you think?
Don't know many 13 year olds interested in politics.....
Yeah, people say they're not interested in "politics", but when you bring up a topic they usually have an opinion.
I caught my wife on that all the time. I tried to get her to join the forum but "politics" in the eyes of many means 'Capitol soap-opera'.
"I don't like politics" she says..."oh, what do you think about abortion..."...I let her go on for a few minutes about it and "see? you do care". She says she cares about many different social issues and laws but not at all for "politics".
Not necessarily.
