America right now appears to be unreliable to traditional friends, compliant to rivals, and weak to enemies. One renowned Asian leader stated recently at a private dinner in the United States, "We in Asia are convinced that Obama is not strong enough to confront his opponents, but we fear that he is not strong enough to support his friends."
So some putz named Mort now speaks for the entire world?
Really?
No kiddin'?
Amazing!
Certainly not. But he wrote what many reasonable and critical people have now been thinking... Obama was a mistake. That means the Obama defenders to the death won't be impressed, swayed or daunted in their ability to either deny, defend or discredit those who say negative things about Obama.
Why is it people who don't really have a legitimate point always resort to using terms like " many reasonable and critical people" as if they have real meaning?
Sounds like just anotther sour grapes rightie to to me.

Why is it that anyone who critisizes Obama NEVER has a "legitimate point" in the eyes of starry eyed, true believers.
Don't have a clue, as I'm not, nor do I know any "starry eyed, true believers," but I do see and hear from a whole bunch of we lost, so we're gonna bitch about everything he does types.
EDIT: I am also annoyed that he isn't inviting international assistance to come to the U.S. and help with the oil spill. It seems very high and mighty.
It's no surprise that the vast majority of what he does and believes in I disagree with. He's a progressive and therefore has a totally different world view that me. So of course I will criticize most of what he does... his answer is governemnt, my answer is free enterprise. True believers are those who fight and defend Obama no matter what facts to the contrary are provided.
I wish there were more things I could agree with from Obama but on those rare occasions when he does something right, I'll be there saying so. It's less about denial and defense and more about just being honest.
You don't have to believe me, just read the words Obama said out of his own mouth. My apologies for not believing you. I recognize pure partisan rhetoric when I see it.
Ok whatever. Doesn't change anything Obama said out of his own mouth. And no, President Barack Obama is nowhere near being a "progressive," anymore than he is a "socialist." Anyone who understands the actual meaning of either those terms knows better. Save it for the Glen Beck Teabagged crowd, as people with more than a two digit IQ aren't buying it.

Are those ideologically opposed to radical progressivism supposed to simply lay down and let your heros check off every item on their long coveted laundry list of leftist agenda?
I didn't realize that Zuckerman was the czar of the world and could speak on behalf of everyone. Well, I guess that means my opinion is just irrelevant then!
Actually... I don't think Obama is incompetent. I want him to fulfill his campaign promises, but that just makes him a liar, not incompetent. Bush was the epitome of incompetent, and Clinton was just... ugh... I don't even know where to begin. I still think Obama has the potential to be one of the better recent leaders. I like his foreign policy, I think his economic policy has been, for the most part, genuine, but the health care bill is a black mark on him. He could have done way better than just accepting a half-assed bipartisan effort that plays into the hands of private health care corporations.
