Woke Warfighters’: GOP Report Says Leftist Ideology, Gender ‘Insanity’ Weakening America’s Military

Ate you really still stuck on gays in the military?

Jesus the gay issue is basically over outside hard right wing Christian circles.

It seems
"the gay issue" is important to people who feel that they themselves could choose to be gay
if they wanted to

When I served the queers did not celebrate their illness like they do today. President Clinton even in later years added 'don't ask, don't tell' for a reason.

It increased readiness.

Now in boot kids have cards they carry in their pocket for when they get stressed out. The DI is required to back off if the kid pulls it.

Republican lawmakers have decried the Biden administration for policies that they say are weakening America’s military through leftist indoctrination and “woke” ideological posturing to appease “Ivy League faculty lounges or progressive pundits.”

“Unfortunately, President Joe Biden and his administration are weakening America’s warfighters through a sustained assault fueled by woke virtue signaling,” said Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) in a report titled “Woke Warfighters,” according to Fox News. “Our military’s singular purpose is to ‘provide for the common defense’ of our nation. It cannot be turned into a left-wing social experiment. It cannot be used as a cudgel against America itself.”

The report cites several examples of the administration’s stance. One example was Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s first action after being confirmed by the Senate, which included signing a “racism” memorandum. The message directed all service members and Department of Defense civilian employees to conduct a “one-day stand-down” to discuss extremism within their ranks.

This was despite the fact that in a force of more than 2.1 million active and reserve members, there were only 100 such cases of alleged “extremism,” according to data collected by the Biden administration.

“The world is a dangerous place, and the Biden Administration’s insanity is eroding our greatest source of security in it,” said the report, citing the military’s promotion of Marxist critical race theory, sex reassignment procedures, and transgender ideology, as well as the punishment of those

VySky, are you homophobic? Do you hate the gehy?

So the article hits home. Truth does not automatically equal hate. Facts are tough for those who facts offend. That is why Biden prefers truth over facts. He said as much himself.

Sure.
But spreading lies and promoting FUD
( like this article about an article about a report from Rubio and Roy does )
almost always equals hate

obviously, ymmv

The cards existed in 2012. And were used routinely at Fort Jackson. That is fact.
The idiotic, foolish, and stupid Demonrats once again outsmarted you
by hiding all the evidence for your assertion though, right?

It’s a myth, and has been around for at least 20 years. Everyone who has been through basic since the myth started has laughed at it.

In the ‘90’s, the Navy did issue “stress cards” to recruits which gave advice and contact information for recruits having a hard time. Around the same time, the Army issued stress cards that worked like a mood ring and indicated level of stress when touché by ginger or thumb.

In neither case were they get out of jail free cards, and while some recruits did pull them ou to indicate distress, that put no obligation on the drill instructors.

So “stress cards” did exist, but were not what the myth claims.
I had a cocky TAR (Temporary Active Reservist) that came onto the USS Inchon during my last 6 months before retirement in 1997. He thought he knew everything and wouldn't listen to any of the old salts......complete dick head.

He misaligned the lube oil system to the No#2 Emergency diesel after completing his PMS on the oil filters. (planned maintenance). The emergency diesel starts automatically and comes online when ships power is lost. Two days later the valve to the lube oil cooler was still shut after the diesel fired up. I noticed the valve shut right away as I came into the generator space because I usually had to duck from the valve stem and I didn't have to. The diesel had been running for about 35 minutes before could get to the space. The lube oil temp was creeping over 150 degrees before I opened the valve. I ripped him a new asshole for about 10 seconds before he formed his two hands into a "T". ( meaning a time out)

All I could tell this kid was......

**** you you and your time out ............................and stay the **** out of this engine room!

He reported me to the CHENG (Chief Engineer) and I was pulled aside by Cheng a day later. EN1......your retiring in a few months and I want you to retire at your current pay grade. These TAR's while drive you crazy so I want you off the ship everyday by 2 bells and heading to the golf course. It's a TAR ship now and I'll be damned if I have to go to Captain's Mast with you or any other of the old crew for smacking one of these dumb assholes.

Please point to anything in my post which refers to 'sight', thanks.

You can go pound whatever gets you your jollies, in the privacy of your own home.
Please clarify what you mean by your statement...

"If this were always the case I think there'd be a lot less conflict and division."

Gay people weren't asking for anything special............they just did their jobs.
^^^
This. Don't ask for special treatment, just do you job. Whatever you chose to do in your house or your bedroom is none of my business, nor anyone else's, and especially not the government's.
Clear enough for you?

One of the special treatments they asked for was to be recognized as who they are, not having to hide in their employment...as you suggest. And you c an still be fired for being gay in America.

"Under U.S. law, religious organizations are basically exempt from protections baked into the Civil Rights Act. Sometimes called the “ministerial exception,” it bars ministers from suing for discrimination."

Gays have always been in the military. General Washington probably had some.
My issue is with trans people that want me to pay for their surgery. No way in hell.
You're not getting taxed more for their healthcare.

You are falsely equating 'doing the job' with 'hide in their employment' when clearly they are two different and separate things.

Citing a very narrow situation to be the general case is another false equivalence.

How do you think gay workers in that section keep their jobs? Any sectors where you can be fired for being hetero?

I'm curious, the two authors of the report, Marco Rubio and Chip Roy, how long did they serve in the military?

My suspicion is that people who don't shove their sexuality into people's faces have better work performance and better work relationships.
Do note that this is a completely neutral and uncontroversial statement.

If that's too much for gays, it is then they themselves who are choosing to take work or career limiting actions in the workplace.

I am unable to share your suspicions.

I have known a large number of excellent workers who repeatedly spoke of their spouses while using gendered pronouns.

Do note that this is a completely neutral and uncontroversial statement.

Fair enough.

The problem is that while no one considers a person merely mentioning an opposite sex spouse/partner/love interest to be shoving their sexuality in others’s faces, there are enough people who consider mention of a same-sex partner/spouse/etc to be shoving.

Sexually explicit conversations/stories have no place in a work environment (excepting brothels and “adult entertainment” establishments). And it is extremely annoying to have to listen to those who cannot go two minutes without mentioning their significant other, as well as being unprofessional. But a rainbow flag at one’s desk, or pictures of boyfriend/girlfriend/spouse is not shoving sexuality anymore than religious symbols are shoving religion.
If that's too much for gays, it is then they themselves who are choosing to take work or career limiting actions in the workplace.
Did you have any particular conduct in mind? I honestly cannot think of anything other than explicit stories/conversations, being offensive

queers being in is not destroying combat readiness. Yes thereis some woke crap going on but gays in the military are not the cause. Now Long after I finally left all military service in 2015 after 3 years of active and 4 years in the national guard, I have been called out for yelling at soldiers coming into my shop.

We had a specialist from first cav come in wearing an extremely dirty uniform, did not wear his patrol cap, his coyote tan boots were near blck, and he was wearing his can spurs that looked like they were drug through the mud. A few days later he came back and his sergeant dropped him off and me and the other coworker went off on him, with his sergeant sayin you can't say things like that anymore.

To me I thought only 7 years ago when I left someone having a uniform like that was hell to pay, not just for the soldier but for the whole platoon, as the platoon was responsible for it's own and each soldiers responsibility was to ensure the ones next to them were squared away and un-ass any soldiers that were assed up.

In the last year or two it seems soldier quality has been dropping, not sure if this is because of how the biden admin is running things or the fact retention is at all time lows and the military might be afraid to punish or boot anyone out with such low numbers. But to me if prized units like first cav allow some soldiers to walk around dirtier than the homeless on the streets it tells me leadership and regulation and unit cohesion is collapsing.

I hope the military does a major turn around to fix such issues, though I will say I have not seen the marines with such issues, meaning they seem to still hold on to most of their strict regiment.

The Epoch Times. LOL.

Didn't read.

Oh yeah?

Cause I went to Jackson in 2014 and no one gave me a stress card.
The cards existed when I went through basic and ait in fort jackson in 09. I never got one, most did not, for the most part you had to actively seek one. In ait the head sergeant had a field day when one was pulled out during class. He grabbed the stres card from the soldier and put it in a vise and slowly cut it with a hack saw while yelling this is what I ****ing think about your stress levels.

Stress cards were a joke, so much I almost believe at one point they were given out to the ones seeking them so the drill sergeants could zero in on the losers and double down on their efforts to break them down and make them soldiers.

But then again I thought basic training was easy as hell, just do what the drill sergeants tell you to do and do not stress it out too much. I found it no matter what it was pt and yelling, someone late you get yelled at and more pushups, every single person on time and squared away, that is too suspicious more yelling and more pushups, the entire job was to stress the recruits out to mentally break them of civilian life whether they cooperated or not.

The types that use the blue card get sent home eventually anyway. They can’t make the cut.

Except this is done by heterosexuals all of the time. People at work talk about their relationships, who they date etc., the problem arises when one group can be targeted for doing the same and treated differently simply because they are attracted to members of the same sex.

Define "shoving my sexuality in people's faces."
