Even they can't answer for themselves. Just ask them what MAGA actually means.

These are people who supported McCain in 2008 because he served in the military and Obama was just a Director of a Community Center, then laughed as a non-serving Trump ridiculed McCain and American POWs just eight years later. Democrats and liberals didn't do this to them.

Several past presidents once served in the military. Obama didn't and neither Clinton did. Bill Clinton even took steps to dodge the draft. He and Hillary may have been forgiven for that if they had not both shown such open disdain for members of the military.

Donnie dodged the draft with his 'bone spur.'

At least the orange guy did not burn the US flag in an European war protest against the US like Bubba did.

The orange guy is a disgrace to the US flag. Two out of three Americans agree with that, including the SEAL TEAM 6 Commander who masterminded the Bin Laden killing,as well as insiders who orange man, himself, hired.

Two or three people agree with disgruntled moon-howling leftists that Trump is a bad president and should not have beaten the wicked witch in spite of her tricks to buy the election? Why am I not surprised? Get with the program. Tens of millions of Americans elected Trump. History demands the wicked whiners get with the program and accept the will of the American people who elected him.

Two out of three people.Try getting your facts straight, and do a little math.Simple deduction tells us many of those who voted for agent orange now have buyers remorse. Millions and millions and millions think orange man is a failure as a Prez. and good luck with your HRCDS issue.

Ah, the old 'voter regrets' the democrats say should cause us to reject Trump now that we have elected him. That was never the cry of the disgruntled barbarians when buyers remorse overtook Obama supporters after they discovered Obama was wrecking their lives with his stupid fiscally disastrous policies. Go figger.

Maybe Obama would have won the election against Trump, but non-combatant Hillary did not do herself any favors by remembering the deaths of 4 American heroes in the disaster of Libya which was created under the Obama administration with, "What difference does it make now?" that these 4 heroes lost their lives fighting an enemy the Obama administration continuously ignored or misrepresented for political reasons.

What do I care about Hillary Clinton? It's you conservatives who are obsessed with her.

And your narrative is FOX News garbage. Think for yourself.

Such as crapping on American POWs? Do you know why you conservatives are so horribly lost anymore? Because you choose to exaggerate and whine about a Clinton, rather than defend your support for the Trump in your face.

It was your people who used Obama's lack of service to disqualify him in 2008. It was your people who praised McCain for his service in 2008. But in 2016, your kind rallied behind an extremist "birther" who:

- Engineered his way out of military service at great lengths while McCain was already a POW in Vietnam
- Who expressly denigrated McCain and American POWs in 2016
- Who then went on to re-define to his voters what a hero is
- And now pretends to associate with the military so that he can paint himself as a patriot to his easily manipulated supporters.

So, no. You people have been led down a path of partisan hatred, so great, that you actively betrayed your morals and your values in 2016 (when Democrats almost halved the Primary votes between Clinton and Sanders and then many went on to abstain in order to avoid having to vote for Clinton in the General). Democrats proved more true to their ethics.

There is no "forgiving" anything because you all have spent many years clinging to exaggerated narratives and lies against (pick a) Clinton, Obama, and "the left." You know when the first real sign was when you people started falling off into the deep end? It was when Michelle Obama dared to talk about healthier school lunches for our fat ass American kids and the GOP began to argue how tomato paste is a vegetable and that this was a battle for liberty. This is the crap that led conservatives to enthusiastically embrace a political extremist like Donald Trump in 2016.

It doesn't matter what they say, it is common knowledge that what they will do is open the borders and then right before midterms, grant amnesty to every illegal in the country. Obama as much as said so when he promised to "change America". He sure did. And the democrats will finish the job to seize absolute power.

You think the economy under performed sucked under Obama? You wait until the democrats don't have to worry about winning elections.

The performance of the US economy and deficit spending has been far superior under dems that under the repubs since WWII.

Wait until we no longer have the single most partisan republican congress who blocked (500 cloture votes under McConnell) in my lifetime.

anybody but cruz

No insult intended, but hopefully, most Texan's are voting for him. If I could, I would! What s your singular objection to him? Once, again, I am not a Texan and don't know why, from the outside, a Texan would vote against him. Are you a Texan, and can you tell me?
Regards,
CP

There’s a reason the former Speaker of the House called him “Lucifer in the flesh,” and that’s because to know Ted Cruz is to loathe Ted Cruz. His college roommate summed it up pretty nicely: “Ted Cruz is a nightmare of a human being. I have plenty of problems with his politics, but truthfully, his personality is so awful that 99 percent of why I hate him is just his personality. If he agreed with me on every issue, I would hate him only 1 percent less.”

If you are in Texas, please make sure you and your sphere of influence gets out and votes for him again. I am not a Texan, but the country needs him.
Regards,
CP

Thanks. I no longer live in Texas. I came to North Carolina in the Army in 1972 and have lived here ever since, but I admire Cruz as much as just about any politician I know of.

Ted Cruz is just a fake, just as unlikable as Hillary Clinton, and that's completely ignoring my ideological and policy differences with him.

Your man has a serious personality problem. His greatest advantage is his name-recognition and the fact that he's a Republican in Texas, but he's not particularly charismatic. This is also the same guy who, to borrow a word from the alt-right folks, got cucked by Donald Trump and took it like a bitch.

He's still more likely to win, but he's not running a competent campaign. The last ad he put out was just a montage of Beto O'rourke cursing. That might have worked in the 1950's, but I've never known country folks [that aren't retirement-age] to be that shy when it comes to cursing.

Save the country from what? Low unemployment? Higher wages? Better business climate? Better SOL? Yeah, terrible...

Well, Trump didn't do that. It takes basic research skills to see those things were well underway before he was elected. No president controls the economy, but as the move and numbers had improved and all we're seeing is a continuation of that, he cannot logically take credit. Now to your semi question, We're more divided than ever. He plays to our worse selves, our hate. The tariffs, one of the few things presidents do that can hurt, will eventually be a problem here. Internationally he's alienated our allies and talked up brutal dictators. Note NK still has a nuclear program. His WH is a circus and more disfunctional than we've ever seen. From Devos to Carson the incompetence is breath taking, as well as the corruption.

I often see how he plays to our disagreements. All politicians do. Preying on our hate is a scurrilous tale. I voted for him, and will again, and I don't hate anyone for race, socio-economic, or religious reasons. I just love Americans more. As to trade, he is making an omelet and you know what that requires. Let the trade dust settle, stop giving our adversarial trade partners hope they can outlast him, and let's see how that shakes out. I saw your post of your being a Dean, and presume you to be part of academia, good. You are in a position to help make sure fairy tales of something for nothing stop poisoning students.

You sound rational, but he has done us no favors on trade. It's estimated he will save 26 thousand steel industry jobs at the cost of 432 thousand jobs elsewhere. A poor trade. What he's fixing wasn't even really broke. Ask any qualified economist. The trade deficit is meaningless in today's economy. We gain more than we lose. And I don't know when people started thinking knowing something was bad, but it's not. We don't poison or tell fairy tales. But we do question and challenge. A nun once told me that people should challenge their beliefs daily because if they can't hold up to challenge, why are we believing them. I liked her a lot as a teacher, a college teacher. You say you don't hate anyone, but didn't you end with an insult? Don't worry, I'm hard to offend, but the notion of challenging what you believe is something you might consider. And while I think the evidence shows Trump plays our prejudices and hate more than nearly any politician, if you believe they all do, perhaps we should seek those who don't and not double down on the worse most corrupt of the bunch. Just a though.
