It's a bout 56 years old having sex with a 17 years old who can legally consent to the sex therefore making it completely legal. It's not the first time, and it's not that uncommon. So do you want to change the law that make this legal? What age would you put the age of consent at?

No, since I never said illegality was the threshold for Akin's comment. What I see is you acting out a faux outrage and having amnesia about all the Democrats sex scandal that got huge headlines, Weiner I mentioned, there's also Spitzer, and the big one, Clinton.

And since you think it's pedophilia to have sex with a 16 or 17 years old, how come you won't answer the question as to whether you want to change the law to raise the age of consent to something that according to you won't allow pedophilia to occur? What age would that be?

Because I dont live in that state and it isnt my business. Most states (mine included) have the age of unrestricted consent to be 18. Many have differences...example, there IS no ability to 'consent' prior to age 15, age 15-18 the individual can consent where the other party is within 9 years in age...etc. Really not the point. The level of emotion and mental maturity between ANY 18 year old (let alone a 16-17 year old) is night and day. Sorry...my belief is that any 56 year old that seeks a relationship with someone that is 18 is seeking an exploitative relationship. As long as it is consensual and legal...not my business, its not my business but that doesnt mean I wont have an opinion on the relationship.

Oh...and ANYONE that is 56 and seeks a relationship with a child and uses a toilet as a meeting place...well...again...that speaks volumes as well. But Im glad that you find it a 'good' thing. Obviously we see the world differently.

But there is a difference between a 'happily' married man sexting people, or a NFL quarterback sending dong pics, or a 'straight' 'conservative' 'wide stancing' in an airport bathroom with an openly gay man doing a hook-up.

As far as 56 and 17, drawing such high moral outrage-
I figure many 'conservatives' love the young stuff, just look at the escort services so close to business districts, trophy wives for very old men and of course cougars and the puppies they play with...

So you got the point now? That the media covers sensational stories, not whether the law was broken or which party the person's in, which is why Akin got the coverage he did, and so did Weiner. Therefore, your whining about how "suddenly when its a Dem its no big deal because no law was broken" is just a whole load of bull****.

Being uncommon doesn't make something less disturbing when someone find it so, it does make it less of a sensational story for the media. Most rape and domestic violence don't make it to the headlines either, while this story did. Do you see people making threads about how disturbing domestic violent is every time it happens everyday? Did you hear about the judge that let off a rapist lightly because the girl was dressed older than she was? How many people have?
